Quick Monday morning cleaning sht around the house on Memorial Day thoughts:
-I was more excited by Bartholomew’s play than Kull’s play. I mean dont get me wrong i want Krull to finally play and play well, but getting a few years of good play from a home grown tight end is appealing.
-Defensive line is still good.
-These receivers still stink
-Any thoughts on the linebacking rotation? Not sold on Petrishen but he is 90 years old.
-Glad students came out to watch or at least passively attend a pitt game while taking shots for instagram.
-Pitt VB still rolling and still very un-Pitt like. Grad transfer from UPS is very good, Lund played really well against a higher ranked Baylor team. Lund really needs someone like Gray (UPS grand transfer) to take heat off of her because she is super good but not a super athlete (just like every other good pitt player in every sport in the past 25 years).
-No more guy from Hawaii
-No more bad Davis
-Driving down on Thursday, golfing Friday, watching Pitt lose on Saturday. Return of my favorite vball league on Sunday SIGN ME UP.

Thank you Kenneth. Where are you playing? I'm wanting to play Sweetens Cove but the schedule wouldn't allow for it on this trip

UMass is not good so I don't want to read too much into the game, but here are my biggest takeaways...
1. The combined 8 receptions, 79 yards and TD from Lucas Krull and Gavin Bartholomew is a beautiful, beautiful thing. Welcome back, TE Position. We have missed you.
2. Rumor going around was that Vincent Davis was serving some sort of informal suspension, which is why he didn't play in the first half. Going forward, my top three backs are Abanikanda, V Davis, and Rodney Hammond. V Davis gets the slight nod over Hammond on experience/playbook knowledge. Hammond runs hard.
3. Speaking of which, I hope AJ Davis sent a nice Edible Arrangements basket to UMass safety Tanner Davis for AJ Davis's touchdown run. Talk about "the controller stopped working". Davis had a nice run on that play, but I can't remember the last time I saw a player at this level just quit on a play like the way Tanner Davis did.
4. Barden, Bradley, and Addison may be a full year away from this, but I can see those three developing into a really nice WR trio.
5. The front seven is just freaklishly athletic. I love that they were able to rotate so many players in against UMass; they're going to need to be ready for this that week with Heupel and his stupid tempo offense.
6. Calijah Kancey may be this year what we wanted Twyman to be last year.
7. Petrishen had a really good game. I hope he can maintain that same level this weekend.

I am actually surprised they won and did it with that many points. I truly was expecting a "nail-biter" 14 point win.
