John Denny? He never played for a WS winner. You didn't graduate HS in 1983 (as evidenced by your 20-year HS reunion this past weekend) and the Phillies didn't win that year. #readingcomprehensionThis is fun.

I guess... Darrell Evans vs. John Denny.
Denny won the NL Cy Young award that year. Uh oh.

Since I graduated HS in 94, I went with the 95 WS. So I have Hal Morris against Greg Maddux. Morris batted .380 career vs Maddux so I think I have a pretty good chance.

OK, mine would be Darrell Evans against prime era Curt Schilling. I'm screwed.

Connor Joe was everything wrong with the GMNH draft process. He has no position, no projectible power, but doesn't strike out a lot. His minor league numbers are inflated by playing in the PCL. What a slug.

Wanted to see if there were any glaring whiffs by NH with that pick. Seems like the class was pretty thin by the time Joe was taken.
But, on the other hand, Cole Tucker is starting to look more terrible by the day.
24 Cole Tucker Pittsburgh Pirates Shortstop Mountain Pointe High School (AZ)
25 Matt Chapman Oakland Athletics Third baseman Cal State Fullerton
26 Michael Chavis Boston Red Sox Shortstop Sprayberry High School (GA)
27 Luke Weaver St. Louis Cardinals Right-handed pitcher Florida State
