You can’t love Carey Price AND love Hasek. It’s not possible

the pop that Hasek got in the first clip is so good. it's a super dangerous/dirty play but still great

I generally don't like Hasek style goalies...but there was more to Hasek's game than meets the eye and he "cheats" the game at such a ridiculous level that you have to acknowledge it.
It's why I'm a big defender of Letang...sure, I think hockey IQ is the best thing imaginable, and his only around average...but he recovers so incredibly well that you have to just roll with it...
In closing, shut up, meow. Thank you.

I don’t need this

Did Hasek ever just get steamrolled when he came 30 feet out of his goal like that?

It’s tough to steamroll all that gear when it’s coming at you like that. Goalies get blown up when they are standing still

What’s the move there. Like it’s a combination of predicting that a pass is coming and also seeing the recipients head turn?
I don’t remember him failing at it.

Are you asking me? Because I have no idea. That’s like asking what is going through a serial killer’s head. I can’t relate.

It's just the longest pokecheck...it's a combination of anticipation and eyes being down...

That’s nice and all, but EK doesn’t keep it in the zone.

I wasn't going to say it but since you did, yeah, it's ultimately dumb. That’s nice and all, but EK doesn’t keep it in the zone.

to me that clip is less about Karlsson being good and more Phil sucking at defense
ulf's thread of hockey pr0n
Phil did his job. What Karlsson did was flashy but ultimately Phil kept him to the outside of the zone, didn't give up a chance, and then Karlsson ended up taking it out of the zone anyway...

Just clip it so you don’t see the puck come out, then I’m onboard with calling it hockey pron
