Really? No May the 4th jokes yet?
So my ex-boss just texted me a photo showing how Disney celebrates this day.
The executive team parks somewhere other than their usual lot, they put up bleachers and a giant outdoor movie screen and sound system. Employee event starts at 4 pm, ROTJ screening starts at 5.

Second Star Wars anthology movie, which Josh Trank is no longer directing, is rumored to be a Boba Fett movie.
I'm sure Temuera Morrison is excited to get work for the first time since Revenge of the Sith.

He'll be pushing 60 when they start filming that film. I wonder if they would get Manu Bennett? Similar build, accent, appearance...and younger.Source of the post I'm sure Temuera Morrison is excited to get work for the first time since Revenge of the Sith.

Yeah well the upswing in quality since the prequels came out is pretty solid, so I'm all for whatever lol. The Clone Wars and Rebels are both awesome, the comics add a lot of depth, as do the books. It's a good time to be a Star Wars fan.

Yesterday I saw a quote from the Vanity Fair article where Abrams expressed his desire to CGI Jar Jar's bones into a random sand dune on Tatooine. I hope he does it.

There was a meme going around when JJ Abrams first got the Ep VII gig; if he screwed up Star Wars, he would forever be known as Jar Jar Abrams.

Anybody listen to Star Wars Minute? They're now on minute 89 of Return of the Jedi. It's a fun show and well worth a listen through every movie. They haven't announced what's next after Jedi, but I'm really hoping they take on the prequels.

When George Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney, he gave them outlines for three new Star Wars sequels — but his ideas apparently ended up in the trash compactor. Vanity Fair’s new cover story on Star Wars: The Force Awakens notes that Star Wars creator Lucas had his own vision for episodes VII, VIII, and IX, which take place decades after the original Star Wars trilogy.
“We’ve made some departures [from Lucas’s ideas],” producer Kathleen Kennedy told the magazine, but only in “exactly the way you would in any development process.”

For some Star Wars fans, there’s no May the Fourth news finer than this: director J. J. Abrams revealed that he’s thought about killing off the very controversial Jar Jar Binks. Sitting in an edit bay at his Bad Robot production office and pointing to a frame of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Abrams told Vanity Fair contributing editor Bruce Handy, “I have a thought about putting Jar Jar Binks’s bones in the desert there. I’m serious! Only three people will notice, but they’ll love it.”

I would like to hear what Lucas' ideas were just for the sake of knowing, but I can't imagine them being very good.https://www.yahoo.com/movies/george-luc ... soc_trk=ma

This is basically what needed to happen when the prequel trilogies were announced. Rick McCallum needed to read the draft scripts, quietly and inwardly go , then say, "George, this is a great starting point, but we got this. Let's hand these off to a full-time writer and give it some polish."https://www.yahoo.com/movies/george-luc ... soc_trk=ma

Jar Jar would have been gone by the first re-draft.
