You have to turn your body completely to play any infield position other than 1b or catcher. I believe it

yeah lefty shortstops are not just rare but we had a lefty on our high school baseball team who just practiced at shortstop and we made fun of the idea of it
it’s foreign because it’s slightly more inefficient for lefties to make the throws. That’s really it

TIL that the 201st Fighter Squadron of the Mexican Air Force (the "Aztec Eagles"), while attached to the 58th Fighter Group of the United States Army Air Forces, participated in the liberation of the Philippines during WWII. They flew Republic P-47D Thunderbolts. To date, it is the only unit of the Mexican armed forces ever to see overseas combat. Mexico joined the Allies and declared war on the Axis powers in 1942 after German U-Boats sunk multiple Mexican oil tankers in the Gulf of Mexico.

Do you think they got Connor Stallions to steal Edinboro's signs for them?

There's something called the NBA in season tournament. It seems kinda cool. What's the buzz on it?

I tried to watch one of the tournament games in San Antonio and the aqua colored court gave me a headache. I think the deal is that they split it into divisions that are not necessarily = the actual divisions, played a round robin on Tuesdays and Fridays, half the teams advanced to the knockout round, and those that didn't advance had just regular games scheduled since it is within the framework of the 82 game season. Semis and final are in Vegas, of course. Final is Pacers/Lakers tonight. They played the Pacers/Bucks game at 2 PM PT on Thursday. WTF? Wonder why there were thousands of empty seats and probably minimal ratings.
I've heard some people say it's stupid but it's the kind of oddball thing that gets me intrigued. The full color courts though.... it's like the blue turf in Boise. It's cool for about 5 minutes, then after that it's a distraction.

Isn't it a bigger bonus than winning the championship? Or close to it, I thought I heard that on some show this week.
In-season tournaments are very common in soccer, but they only have like a 40-game league season or something.

I don’t follow the NBA but heard about the in season tournament. Already talked to the other coaches in our son’s rec league and have talked about a similar idea. I think we may just go with it. Kids would love it

Are the courts just an overlay or are they actually that obnoxious blue color?I don't hate the idea. The courts and the name of it suck though
Edit: just googled and holy hell. That’s awful they’re actually painted like that. It looks terrible.
