A tribute video? Dude had 108 starts. Is that the bar that has now been set for tributes?Evidently, Trevor Williams blocked a bunch of Pirates fans (and reporters) that criticized him this offseason. Even a few fans that liked a negative tweet about Williams.
DK (and Madden) thought it ridiculous that Trevor got a tribute video.

Who knows. I had no idea he'd had that many starts, to be honest. My guess is they were sour that they got blocked on the bird website.

Mueller and Dale Lolley going at it in a stupid (but funny) Twitter flame war over the Steelers draft pick. Of course Mueller and Poni were against the Harris pick because they are just contrarians. C'mon Dale, you should know the contest winner better than that!

Legit question for people who live in other cities... Is this level of drama present among the sports media? It seems like every week there is a new spat here.

In Philly there are 2 competing sports radio stations, WIP and ESPN. They always to be at war to some extent.Legit question for people who live in other cities... Is this level of drama present among the sports media? It seems like every week there is a new spat here.

I have heard of them, but I didn't think they were in Philly. Google says they are in NY.

The Fanatic is an ESPN station.

That makes sense. I was able to pick up that station on my AM radio from State College. Scott Farrell had a show on the station at the time (early 90's I think).I have heard of them, but I didn't think they were in Philly. Google says they are in NY.

We always used to go on vacation to ocean city right around baseball’s trade deadline. My dad would always take his radio to the beach and listen to WFAN. For that reason, I will always remember how much much Met fans hated the Turk Wendell acquisition

Looks like Pittsburgh Dad Jr. doesn't "possess comfortability" with proper verb usage.

Of course he has a take, and as usual it's the most "hot take look at me" kind out there.

Well it's ripe for people in the media to make themselves feel more important than they are, so bad takes abound.

Banner day for Pittsburgh sports media as I hop in the car to go grocery shopping and I’m immediately greeted with hearing Paul Alexander interviewing John Ziegler and going full Penn State truther in defense of Paterno and Sandusky. Everyone involved in making this happen should be fired and forced to converse with Wendy Bell.

“Convinced with 100% moral certitude that Jerry Sandusky is innocent.”

This was all over Twitter yesterday as well. I didn't listen to the show because I don't really listen to the station anymore, but someone clipped out a two-minute segment that was even worse than I thought it was going to be.Banner day for Pittsburgh sports media as I hop in the car to go grocery shopping and I’m immediately greeted with hearing Paul Alexander interviewing John Ziegler and going full Penn State truther in defense of Paterno and Sandusky. Everyone involved in making this happen should be fired and forced to converse with Wendy Bell.
In less than two minutes, Alexander went from arguing that the respective treatment/fallout of the Ohio State and Michigan State cases were different than that of the UPS case, to 1) actually defending Sandusky, talking about how he did so many great things for underprivileged kids, and then 2) he pretty much directly said at least some of the victims of fabricating their stories as part of a money grab. And this was just him. This wasn't even the segment with Zeigler, which I'm sure was even worse because Zeigler has gone so far as to argue that Sandusky was actually innocent.

Lol, this is paul alexander realizing that his only hope for prolonged relevance is going controversial hot take route. He see’s John steigerwalds brain rotting in real time and says, that’s my path.
