I’m not sure his brain is that smooth - to have a hidden taskbar.

This is it. App controls have been at the top of applications since before I was born. Only natural to have the taskbar just above.I don’t want to speak for him, but most controls are at the top of apps, so for the sake of efficiency, I could see it.
It's not hidden though.

Totally missed this last week. The order in which mrs meow takes eggs from the carton rustles my jimmies. So if it is two columns (A,B) of six (1-6), she takes A1 and B1 out. This making it lopsided as hell when half are gone. You take all of one column first then move onto the next. This keeping it more balanced for pulling from the fridge.
The brand of eggs I buy are packed in that sort of cardboard type material. I take the eggs out in the same fashion (usually 4 at a time), and then cut the empty egg pockets off the container. So it's always the length of whatever number of eggs are left.

Feels good to pass the crown on this one.

If you do a lot of word processing/document review and editing portrait mode can be helpful. But only for that limited use.Portrait mode monitor people are worse, IMO.

My mother in law runs her task bar on the left hand side of the screen. Something about a sudoku program she likes. Madness.

Some places are Weird with hardware. One place I worked wouldn't let me get a 32" monitor for $300, but they did let me get two 27" displays for $400. shrug

I’d say that’s a better compromise, personally. 32s are just odd, but two 27s are perfect (it’s what I run). Some places are Weird with hardware. One place I worked wouldn't let me get a 32" monitor for $300, but they did let me get two 27" displays for $400. shrug

I got used to working at home on my dual 27” monitors at home, only to return to my work PC’s dual 1368x768 or whatever monitor that is awful.
I think I’m up for a PC replacement this summer, I’m definitely going to ask for a 1080p monitor...to start.

2K is perfect for me. Not sure I could really run 4k monitors for work. I’d have to run a resolution that just looked poorly so that text and stuff wasn’t tiny.

Our marriage survived the egg carton debacle because our food sensitivity test both has us as HIGH for egg whites and moderate for egg yolks

As someone who does exactly that, I can say that I value vertical monitor real estate more than horizontal real estate. The problem is that most widescreen monitors these days aren't offered in the right sizes to run in portrait mode.
My setup at work (which I haven't used in a year) is three 1280 x 1024 monitors on a triple mount. I really wanted to replace those with three 1600 x 1200 monitors set in portrait mode, but unfortunately no companies make those any more. Once I'm back in the office I'll probably pop for one of the super ultrawide 49" 5120 x 1440 monitors. I've been using a 3440 x 1440 monitor now at home, and I don't think I can go back to a lower vertical height.

I got a notice this morning that my AmEx card was deleted from my GPay account as a payment method. I did not do this on my own, but adding it back to the account was no problem. Just now, I got another notice that the card was deleted again. I added it back again, but wth is going on with that?

We catch Family Feud while everyone’s brushing their teeth, etc before bed. The episode from the other night, person 1 finished with 144 points on the board, which some easier questions where good answers were left for person 2. Said person 2 blew it all, and missed by under 12 points. To give you an example of how bad he was, for “name an illness that children pass to one another in school”. His answer was hepatitis. You read that right.
