Sidney Crosby is one of the top five players in NHL history, according to Hockey Hall of Fame defenseman Bobby Orr.

I'll definitely agree with that.

I think that conversation is tough to have because is you'd have to say that, even from a Pens perspective, is Sid > Jagr? Sid has a higher PPG average but Jagr seems to kill him in every other stat which is likely due to the fact that Sid has missed so many games
it's sad that Sid and Mario essentially share the same fate. Talents that could have been considered, alone, the greatest of all time who have had shortened careers because of injuries

To answer your only question, the answer is yes, quite clearly if we remove non-Pittsburgh Jagr time. It's closer if we take all of Jagr's completed career vs Sid's ongoing career...but still Sid has a leg up for me.

yeah it wouldn't be particular to just the Pens time. In the GOAT conversations, it's the full breadth of career
I would take Jagr's full career over Sid's full career atm. Sid has just missed too many games in his career and Jagr is a model of consistency

Hindsight is 20/20, but I’m taking Sid’s career, even with the injuries. One more Cup, which the potential to add to that. This is a no brained for me.

I have Crosby somewhere in the 8-13 range...Jagr is behind that...like I can't get Jagr over him. Crosby was the best player in the league for a lot longer...if Jagr could have taken advantage of "down" league and been obviously better than the West Coast Express, Iginla, Sakic, Forsberg group, then he has a better case...but he didn't cash in on it...
While Jagr has playoff success and production...he kind of lacks a real career cornerstone run...his best performance was in the '99 ECQF vs New Jersey...but that run didn't get us out of the second round...he had worse teams than Crosby, to be fair...but he also had Lemieux to work with often enough...
Crosby has him in playoffs and international tournaments...and he's been the best player in the league for most of 2006-2017 or so...Jagr was the best from like 1997-2002 or so...
It's interesting that you note about Crosby games missed...but it's interesting the timeliness of Jagr injuries that ruined some really rarefied air...
He had an inside shot at another First-Team All-Star and significant Hart voting in 1997...where he was just under 100 points missing a quarter of the season.
He had a shot at a ~20% lead for the Art Ross in 1998, but he missed some games...at 20% over 2nd place, he probably takes a pretty big bite out of Hasek's second Hart win.
In 2000, he walks to the Hart if he had played just a couple more games...but he missed a quarter of the season and lost out to Pronger by one voting point...
Very rare that goalies and d-men win the Hart, and Jagr had three straight on his watch...
Even in 2002, if he plays all 82...he's just about on pace for another Art Ross...instead he missed 13 games and received no real consideration for a postseason AST and no Hart votes...
He didn't miss any games in 2006, but Joe Thornton losing a faceoff on national* television to John Madden prompted that dumb trade that saw Thornton swipe an MVP from Jagr...
Then he leaves 2009, 2010, 2011 on the table after getting 290 points in the previous three seasons...
So, while Crosby misses significant time and it coincides with Ovechkin being in the league...so he loses out on some serious hardware that he otherwise would have won...but Jagr has these weird side swipes where the pure binary win-loss things escape him oddly...

The rules for the bubble look to be the most strict of any of the major sports returning to play. If they fail, it won’t be due to lack of planning.
