Another milestone coming up. Sid is only 38 points away from being the highest scoring Nova Scotia boy of all time.

Looking at that list and seeing his birth year reminded me that Sid will be 33 in August. Where has the time gone?
He's currently 40th all time in points, only two points from 39th and 18 points or so behind Ovechkin.
Where do you think he'll end up when all is said and done? 1500-1600 points? That would put him the top 10, as only Thornton, Ovechkin, and Crosby are active players in the top 50. Thornton has to be done this season as well.

My personal hope for Sid is to finish with more points than Ovechkin despite playing in significantly less games, though he keeps getting **** injured and making that more difficult. Sid is 354 points away from passing Esposito for 10th and 405 away from passing Sakic for 9th. I think both are within reach, but Sid's going to have to stick at a point per game pace for 4+ seasons to hit those numbers. 487 away from passing Mario is too big of an ask.
Of course, getting into the top 10 is also dependent on Ovechkin, who is also still producing at a point per game pace. He'll probably be 2nd all time in goals in two more seasons and then depending on his play level or desire to break Gretzky's record I can see him pissing off back to Russia while Sid continues the Bryan Trottier phase of his career.

27 and 23 y/o and no NHL games? Spent half the year in the E last year? Not even sure why this makes social media

Well, it's only a minor trade, but it's still news.

According to me, several years ago...Nyberg is a rangy, offensive d-man who is still raw in terms of being able to defend...I guess...I barely remember the name...

hA! I HAD HOPES THAT HE WAS PHYSICAL AND/OR DEFENSIVE BECAUSE HE DOES NOT PUT UP POINTS. I'm not retyping that.

This early start is a rough one to get to. McGregor fight and a bottle of wines got me reeling today

I was in the Igloo for that goal against the Flyers. Insane and I feel like it’s a forgotten highlight.

There was a great shot of that goal that was in the Philadelphia Inquirer the next day which I cut out and put on my wall (with a bunch of other hockey pictures/posters) when I was a wee lad...such a great goal...

Anybody notice Pens social media claiming Sunday’s game was the 600th straight sell out?
mikey's Thread of Penguin Randomness
I don't really know why people care that they promote it one way or the other.

I meant to post last Tuesday. I was in a suite and the game notes had that as the 598th so I knew it was coming. Questionable obviously but heyAnybody notice Pens social media claiming Sunday’s game was the 600th straight sell out?

I just found it interesting. They had stopped announcing sell outs as the "blah blah consecutive sellout" so I assumed the streak ended.
