I’m still annoyed this morning.
The ceremony was still perfect though and worth every penny I paid for the tickets.

I would’ve rather had Jagr in 12-13 than Iginla.Very hard not to shed a few tears watching that ceremony. I know Craig Patrick was pretty loathed by the end of his tenure, but he really did love Pittsburgh and love that team, and you could see the emotion all over his face today.
It probably wouldn't have gone well, but I still hate that the Pens didn't bring Jagr back for a season at the end of his career when he was bouncing around.

Meh. For all the crap Iginla gets, he had 5‐6‐11 in 13 regular season games and 4-8-12 in 15 playoff games. Was still a top line winger.
Both players went for a 1st and two prospects who never made it.

I still contend they shouldn't have played hardball with Jagr when he went to Philly.

Aside from Jagr's speech, that was the other highlight of the game.

Had just learned Sunday that Jags’ nickname was Gino, and further learned from that video that it was actually Gino Casino. Perfect!

That's almost the same amount I paid for a used Chevy Volt about a week ago.

On a random note I just want to say how crazy it was with people lining up to get in for the Jagr game and trying to get into the lower level Pens Gear store. I just wanted to get a puck (which I didn't get, just the normal game one), but people were being animals and stuff was being thrown.
I just wanted to leave at one point, but with the mass of people there was no way out. Don't even know how you would make it better, but the way they handled the influx of people trying to get in all at once and also going to the Pens store was insane and a fire hazard. I was pretty much smushed like a sardine for like 35 minutes in there. Thankfully I told my wife not to come in cause of how crazy it was and she waited upstairs.

That sounds ... unpleasant. And horrifying if you're a bit of a claustrophobic (like me).

Yeah it was not pleasant at all. They should have let people in ..in groups or something. They did have a sign up limiting two "jagr" items per person but don't know if that was enforced or not. All I know is there were pucks being tossed around and people lunging for them among other chaos.
The amount of people that were lined up outside early was insane...it was like it was a cup final or something. I just don't think they were quite ready for it when everyone went in at once from two or three entrances.

Haha. I don't mind crowds, but the crowd that was trying to stuff into Pens gear was more than just a "crowd". I just wanted a puck dammit haha."Man in crowd mad at crowd for being crowded."
They were selling little mini plastic jagr commermative hockey sticks that were 75$. Someone realized those were not worth it and set it down. I almost bought it out of spite.

I’m more concerned about the poor soul who’ll buy a Harkins-worn warm up jersey for $1k$13k for a jersey sid wore for 15 minutes?

What percentage of those were under the age of 28-30? The same individuals that never saw Jagr in a Penguins jersey. On a random note I just want to say how crazy it was with people lining up to get in for the Jagr game and trying to get into the lower level Pens Gear store.

Honestly there were lots of older people there, some younger too, but Jagr definitely brought out some old yinzers to the arena. Lots of great jerseys too. I saw Wregget, Barasso, Kasper, Stevens, Caufield, Straka etc. Some great 90's era Pens starter jackets as well. What percentage of those were under the age of 28-30? Forgot also that someone wearing a Darius Kasparitis jersey came down to our section saw someone else with a different Kasparitis jersey on a row in front of us and bought it off of him. Dude gave it to him straight off his back. Not sure why the guy was carrying so much cash on him, but it looked like he slipped him two 50 dollar bills.
