yeah agreed
and also my last house had smoke alarms that would all go off when one went off. So after the painstaking activity of trying to figure out which one needed the battery change, after I changed the battery and tested it, all the others went off. And one of them was on a part of the ceiling that was so high that I needed both a ladder and my hockey stick to bash it to death to get it to shut up

Whereas what we have here, a bunch of fig eaters wearing towels on their head, trying to find reverse on a Soviet tank.

Our house has 5 smoke/CO alarms. Four of them are within about 5 linear feet of each other; I can physically touch two of them at the same time in two different mounting locations. The 5th one is on the complete other side of the house.
They are hardwired, so we get the when-one-goes-they-all-go nonsense. They started giving the end-of-life chirps a couple months ago, so we replaced the lot. Now, two of them will give three quick beeps every minute or so and the green power light is out. Fresh batteries haven't helped, and hitting TEST will only reset the alarm for a while, maybe as long as half a day. And invariably they will start this doom loop of false chirping at 3:30 AM.

I have almost a dozen of these, and the only complaint I have is the same as everyone - difficult to figure out which one is beeping when the backup battery is low.

That's why I need the double-stiched extra reinforcement on stress seams.

My wife just mixed bleach and vinegar trying to get a stain out of our white duvet cover. I promptly lost my **** in a panic for 10 minutes (not directly at her at least I didn't think) and now I'm the bad guy lol. I guess I should have let her die instead of opening the windows and throwing the duvet cover in a bag outside.

Hey you may have both died but I bet that stain would be gone.

I just replace all of them at the same time. When one starts chirping, they all get new batts.I have almost a dozen of these, and the only complaint I have is the same as everyone - difficult to figure out which one is beeping when the backup battery is low.

Although it is mildly amusing for Mrs Tif when I'm doing this and I've found the one that's actually on low batt and it chirps in my hands.

Mrs Tif has been known to use a butter knife to help get things nice and tucked into the garbage disposal while it's running. My wife just mixed bleach and vinegar trying to get a stain out of our white duvet cover. Take this as the opportunity to accidentally set something on fire while trying to make moonshine.

Accidentally left my phone in Mrs. F's car, which is now at her work, and I came to the conclusion that I need my phone to be 10 miles away from me more often.

Back when I was a lifeguard at an apartment complex pool, I was in charge of maintaining the chemical balance. One day I needed to open a new bucket of chlorine tablets, and I was kind of hunkered over the thing when I got the whole lid to pop off. I was wearing a black t-shirt. The off-gas (or whatever it's called) instantly bleached a big splotch of my shirt orange."sorry I freaked out when you made chlorine gas inside our house" is a new one for me
Now, breathe that in.
