Does that mean he'll be in WBS next season?

I would think so. I would want my goalies in NA as soon as possible.
I like Blomqvist. Plays a nice, tidy game

I believe he's currently in WBS on an ATO, as well.

So a Nedeljkovic / Blomqvist tandem next season
I could see a Jarry/Nedeljkovic tandem if we can get them for $7 million combined.

@mikey you got film on him? I know he’s got lots of international experience, so there has to be tape out there

I know they are highlights, but nothing much to complain about here. A few traits I really like. Calm. Anchored. Play-reader. Other than the stupid number he wears, I’m excited

To clarify, they are all of the shots he faced in those games (and one from when we drafted when he attempts passes). Not necessarily highlights.

Very narrow stance. Quick up and down in and out of the butterfly. Very fluid mover, moves around real easy, real quick and sharp. Doesn't get his feet set for a lot of shots, which isn't really the trend in my eyes...but that's not necessarily a bad thing. He wants to be one of those micro-adjusting goalies. Just gotta be careful with anchoring and setting yourself for second chance opportunities with that. He has a little bit of a tendency to over-slide for me. Real sound butterfly. Rebound control is a plus. Shows some good propensity to get crease depth off of his post-integration. I'm not in love with the glove positioning in his stance, but he makes it work. I'm surprised it's not up a little higher or the fingers aren't up a little higher. Good catch consistency though, he does a good job telescoping it out when appropriate. What a terrific skater. There's some fluidity to his movement that I really like. Like every kid, he needs to get stronger...but I'd really like his core strength to improve. Goalie scout I know gave good marks for his stick positioning and his composure on breakaways. Really improved over the course of the season. Many teams had him as the #2 goalie in the draft class behind Askarov - who is insane. Starter potential.

I’ll drink to that. Glove positioning is a good call out. I love the fingers up style. Helps catch pucks shot into your body.
The feet set thing is against the grain from what is out there as far as teaching goes. Everyone wants you to get there and get set. I think since he is a play-reading, it is ok to let him freestyle that a bit.

Hextall will trade him for Darren Helm anyway, so whatever.

To be fair, the other guy that we drafted next to Blomqvist netted us Rickard Rakell in a trade that only 14 year olds try in EA Sports...
A 72, a 74, a random C prospect, and a 2nd for an 85. Then we didn't let that guy go to free agency...

@mikey and @meow if you were a bookie what odds would you out on him being our 1a starter at some point?

At some point for an indeterminate amount of time without playing in North America but factoring in a vig...? Ugh, I don't know, +220?
