USA has looked impressive thus far. A few defensive breakdowns that Morocco should have capitalized, but still impressive.

Reffing my first game today. AR for U10. Good times.
I told the assignor I’d get certified but I won’t put my name in. If not enough kids for the spots call. Well, I got called.

What a piece of **** country.England were booed as they took a knee before kick-off in Saturday's Nations League game against Hungary -- by a stadium predominantly filled with children.
The fixture in Budapest was technically a "behind closed doors" match following UEFA sanctions issued after anti-gay and racist chanting by Hungary fans during their three Euro 2020 group stage matches.
However, article 73 of UEFA's disciplinary regulations states that certain exceptions can be made, including "children up to the age of 14 (duly accompanied) from schools and/or football academies."
With one adult accompanying every 10 children, there was estimated to be 35,000 people inside the Puskas Arena, many of whom jeered England's players as they made their now customary anti-discrimination gesture before the start of the game.

No idea what to make of this group. England is obviously the most talented but are basically the Maple Leafs. We have **** records against all three opponents (though it’s only two games against Iran and Wales). The US has a ton of talent on the outside and through the midfield, but can’t break down a low block, which Wales and Iran will use, has absolutely zero capable players at the 9, and is heavily reliant on set pieces and screamers from the fullbacks to get the ball in the net.
The likely CB tandem spending their summer prepping against the attacking scrubs of the MLS and then potentially having a month off before the World Cup doesn’t fill me with a ton of confidence when it comes to matching up against England’s front line. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them go with a False 9, but they’re running out of time to try using it for the first time. GGG will inevitably include some MLS fodder that has no business being on the roster. Starting midfield is as obvious as it gets. The most talented players for the front three is obvious but one of them will lose playing time to an inferior player at the 9 (unless false 9).
Not advancing would be a massive failure, but I can see anything from winning the group to going 0fer and being lucky to hit the back of the net. Regardless, I won’t be getting **** done that week.

Grenada just brought on a dude who plays for a team in the 9th level of the English football pyramid. I’m pretty sure anyone can play at that level if they’re willing to free up time during their schedule.

England swept by Hungary getting absolutely rolled 0-4 today. Guess they are saving it up for the World Cup?
Declan Rice left on the bench, not that it mattered apparently. Nice job Southgate.

I almost forgot that the WC is in Qatar, which makes Italy’s absence almost okay.

World Cup venues were announced. Looks like Philly and NY/NJ are the options for us PA folk.
Also, Southampton signed Portsmouth’s keep for 5 years and man is Pompey bitter about it…

Team USA plays a lot of games in Ohio, guess I was hoping maybe they'd have some games in Cleveland or Columbus.
