yeah, from the follow up post:Should Alford be on this list as well?I guess outside of adding another 1B/OF/DH bat and a backup C, they are likely finished tinkering with the roster heading into training camp. Which is of course sad.
I think my only sort of condition for this team, is that they don't turn the season into an extended tryout for a very specific group of players. Basically, the cohort below that is currently on the 40-man roster, either they show something in camp and actually earn playing timey, or you are out. Two categories for these players "No leash" - if you suck in camp or in April, DFA. "Some leash" - you are awarded some suck. Guys like Castro and Contreras I am not considering, because they can just go to the minors. I am not sure I can handle and level of front-office devotion to all the guys they've dumpster dived for.
No Leash:
Kranick, Howard, Crowe, Banda, Peters, Wilson, Park, Oliva, Allen, Hanhold, Mears, Chavis
Some Leash: Brubaker, Yajure, Cederlind, Thompson, Keller
Forgot about some important ones.
Alford, Tucker - No leash
Gamel - Some leash
