The Pings I bought came with a full set of Arccos. They're attached to my mix of new and old clubs. Since Arccos doesn't make a jumbo/oversize grip I have to use the screw in sensors.

As for The Grint, you can do something similar with it. Switch the tracked shots interface to Advanced on the GPS screen. Then track each shot with 'Save and Continue' through each hole and you'd have all the data. I don't think you can get an overhead overlay like that after the round, though. The problem with The Grint is that data doesn't really end up anywhere meaningful. You can *almost* find your club distances if you drill down into the stats interface, but it's not really there.
I wouldn't have paid for Arccos. If anything I would have gotten the Garmin CT10 system since I'm very much in the Garmin universe. I'm going to wait until next spring to decide what I want to do with Arccos/Garmin. I really want the data but man is it a chore having to monitor 2+ apps while playing. I actually had to bring a second phone out with me to play music on because I didn't want the music playing to affect the ability for Arccos to hear the shot. I can solve that problem if I buy an Arrcos Link, but then that's another $100 and I still need to make sure it's charged, etc.

The banter in those videos is fantastic. The one with yandle and Hayes gets pretty vicious though, Hayes comes off as a piece of **** that shouldn’t be involved

My current club setup is: Driver, an old crappy 5-wood I never use, a 4 hybrid that I use constantly, and a set of irons. I have a pitching wedge and sand wedge, but no gap wedge for reasons I would rather not state here. Let's just say it was before I started reading Zen Golf.
I've been thinking about trying out a 7-wood, but not sure what it is equivalent too from a hybrid perspective. Should I get a shorter hybrid instead?

That's an old man club. Get a 4 wood or something and then gap the rest with hybrids

Shaf, I like this page for converting wood/iron/hybrid. It's pretty much based on loft and doesn't consider other club characteristics: https://golf-info-guide.com/hybrids/whi ... way-woods/
A 7w would be a 3i/3h.
My bag goes Driver, 2i, 3h, 4i-pw, gw, sw. Which would be a Driver, 5w, 7w if you were looking at it from a woods perspective.

7 wood has around 21 degrees of loft, which is a typical 4i/4h with how strong today's lofts are.
You could get a Cobra 3-4 Hybrid with adjustable loft from 18.5 to 22.5 and cover the same ground as that seven wood.
I have mine set to 19.5, which is the same as my 5 wood (which I use as an alignment stick at the range).

So 4 irons now have like a 21-22 degree loft. Mine is 25 degree. Knowing that I feel like my ideal setup is something like:
Driver
15-16 degree wood
18-19 degree hybrid
4I - 9I
Pw
Gw
Sw
60
P

Yeah, my 4i is 24 degrees. When I order my G425s this winter I'm ordering them in retro spec lofts, and that still only gets it to 22 degrees.
I am anti-adjustable lofts. Really funny how many different perspectives/answers there are to a seemingly straightforward question.

KC, I'd probably give yourself another degree or two on the hybrid for gapping, but that also depends on how you use your hybrid.

This is helpful fellas, thanks. My 4 hybrid is probably the most important club in my bag. If I can get a solid second shot out of it, especially when my drive isn't quite up to snuff, that can be the difference between a par or bogey and a triple.

I dislike it on my driver because de-lofting opens the face and there's no secondary notch to bring it back to neutral. Don't seem to have that issue with the hybrid.

All purpose. I have an 18 degree right now that I hit off the tee, fairway, or rough if the lie is goodKC, I'd probably give yourself another degree or two on the hybrid for gapping, but that also depends on how you use your hybrid.

With a distinct lack of coordination and talent, overthinking is all I have.

I pretty much have a 10-15 yard gap on all of my non-driver clubs. It's really beneficial knowing how everything fits in my bag so no matter where I am, I know X club can either get me there or put me in a position on my next shot to get there.

One of my biggest issues is shots that are too long for my 4 iron which I hit about 190 and too short for my 18 that I hit 225ish.
I'm usually able to plan and avoid shots that are in that 190-225 range. It's either par 4s where I top/pop up my drive or par 3s that are that long.

Speaking of idiots, i had a 8 pars and shot an 88 today. So that means even for 8 holes and 17 over for the remaining 10 holes. This is the way.

That sounds like me. Bunch of pars and bogeys and then ruin the whole thing with a couple 8s and 9s
