From what I remember, ESPN+ is also supposed to be part of the Disney+ package.I don’t know, but I guess I have to look into this now. I don’t even know if ESPN+ is included in my package.

I think it used to be in the $120 to $150 range usually...$90ish was the Euro cost IIRC...Anyone else have Center Ice? Just got my renewal notice with Verizon, and it looks like the price dropped to $99. I believe it was more expensive in the past.
I haven't needed it in years because of other things available to me, but I feel pretty confident about my recollection of it as it stayed pretty consistent for a while...

You can bundle but it's not part of the typical Disney+ sub. From what I remember, ESPN+ is also supposed to be part of the Disney+ package.I don’t know, but I guess I have to look into this now. I don’t even know if ESPN+ is included in my package.

It’s a no brained for $99, IMO. I know I can stream it, but I’ve had better success with the quality on CI.

So...what does Center Ice offer US customers that ESPN+ doesn't...? If they're both subject to blackouts, isn't ESPN+ cheaper but with all the same amount of games...? I'm likely misunderstanding...

Beginning with the 2021-22 season, access more than 1,000 out-of-market NHL games and 75 exclusive games per season—making ESPN+ a must-have for hockey fans. That's NHL.tv, not Center Ice. NHL.tv is now exclusive to ESPN+.

Good question. It’s definitely cheaper, but I’d need to see a comparison with CI to see if I’d be missing games with ESPN+.

Sound like they both include all the games but ESPN+ has some exclusives. ESPN+ also has other programming.So...what does Center Ice offer US customers that ESPN+ doesn't...? Sounds like ESPN+ won’t get me all Pens games, so that’s gonna be a pass.

Nah, it said they will stream select games. Not gonna risk it.

With CI you get everything except for the local market games.
Hockey Randomness
I thought you could get a single team package now.
Hockey Randomness
It's like the NHL doesn't want fans to watch their product. I watched maybe 20 games last year on account of local blackouts because my cable system doesn't have Root or whatever it's called this year. With CI you get everything except for the local market games.

From 2015:
That new, single-team package will cost 20 percent off the price of the full version of NHL GameCenter Live, which will be 17.25 percent cheaper in 2015-16 than it was last year. So to do the math real fast ... GCL cost $159 last year. 17.25 percent off of that means it will cost $132 this year, and 20 percent off that means the single-team package will cost $105.

As far as I know it’ll show everything that NHL.tv/Center Ice would show. ESPN+ would also include the ESPN exclusive games. That means NHL Network games (if that’s still a thing) and TNT games will not air on either ESPN+ or Center Ice. Actually I don’t know that for sure. That’s how exclusive NBC games worked.Nah, it said they will stream select games. Not gonna risk it.

Sounds like VPN and Center Ice is the way to go...because I'm in the Devils, Isles, and Rangers market now, so that means roughly 10 out of every 8 Pens games are going to be blacked out...
Can I just run a smart tv through a VPN or do I have run my whole internet through it...? I can look it up, but, meh...

Doubt you can run it through the TV, but some nicer routers will allow you to only pass traffic from specific clients (your TV) through the VPN tunnel. Here's an example of how to do it on an ASUS: https://www.vpnuniversity.com/routers/u ... wrt-merlinSource of the post Can I just run a smart tv through a VPN or do I have run my whole internet through it...? You can run the Unlocator VPN through a smart tv. You can also run it through a laptop. You can also run your entire internet through it.Sounds like VPN and Center Ice is the way to go...because I'm in the Devils, Isles, and Rangers market now, so that means roughly 10 out of every 8 Pens games are going to be blacked out...

I got to the point in my life where I rarely watch any games other than play-offs - but doesn't http://onhockey.tv/ show pretty much any game ever played anywhere in the world in HD quality for free?
