I finished Mass Effect: Andromeda yesterday. Started off slow, but I enjoyed it in the end. Definitely going to check out the remastered versions of 1 and 2.

Mass Effect 2 is one of the best games of that generation of video games. Superb in every way. Though if you want the full effect I would start with 1 cause your decisions matter and carryover to 2.

Tried out Star Citazen during their free play and bought into the now 10 year space game still in alpha.
I’m a sucker for space games.

Needing to fill the gap until Ratchet and Clank arrives, I played through Control finally. I enjoyed it, but found that I was pretty bad at it. Fortunately there is an Assist Mode to make your life a bit easier (i.e. you don't feel like dying every 2 seconds until you git gud). Nice considering that it was free via ps+, but wouldn't have complained had I paid for it. A bit different than other games I have played, so it was enjoyable.
I stopped after getting the Platinum and finishing all of the missions/side quests from the main story + DLC. A few floating trophies from the DLCs but they are grindy in nature so I dont really care to finish them.
Still have a few games between ps+ and the ps+ collection that I still want to play, but not undertaking anything large with R+C arriving Friday.

Been playing some Knockout City with a buddy. $20 unless you have EA game pass and then I think it's free. Fun dodge ball game that kills time like rocket league

So this is a dumb question. I want to buy Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. I have GPU, which comes with EA Play. EA Play members get 10% off the game, however, I have no idea how to actually buy the game with this discount. Does it only apply to those who pay for EA Play separately?

Ah, nevermind, looks like you have to use the EA app on the Xbox itself. Which means I can't use any of the $100 in Microsoft credit that I have.
Scratch that. I was, in fact, able to use my MS credit for this purchase. Nice.

Minecraft for Switch is a colossal piece of sht. I spent an hour trying to get my daughter connected to my Microsoft account so she could play with her friend but to no avail. I've been able to get it to work before but with much difficulty.
I told her when she hits 75% on her ABC Mouse learning path she can get it for PC.

E3 isn't what it used to be, but here's the schedule for those interested:
Hopefully we get a Flight Sim release date.

Started ME1. The inability to customize controls is a huge drawback for me, and the movement blows. I really hope I didn’t just blow $60 on this…Mass Effect 2 is one of the best games of that generation of video games. Superb in every way. ME1 is clunky by todays standards...really clunky, but you will get used to it. ME2 makes everything better though.Started ME1. The first ME came out in 2007 so it's not going to play the same as todays games.

My biggest issue with ME2 was the introduction of limited ammo. I much preferred the overheat system in ME1, but I'm also pretty sure that puts me in the minority.

I’ll stick with it to see how it fares. I was so used to being able to jump in ME:A that it’s driving me nuts that I can’t do it in ME. Sorta like Gears.

This is pretty much dead-on. I've always had a Playstation, so my intro to Mass Effect was on ME2. ME1 was initially an XBox exclusive; they didn't release it to PlayStation until they did that trilogy box set back in like 2012 or 2013. When I first went back and played ME1 after having already played ME2 and ME3, many more things in the story made sense but it was even noticeable then how "old" ME1 felt. ME1 is also more dialogue-heavy so it kind of drags out more, but it sets up the characters of your core team that ME2 and ME3 will eventually take to the next level.ME1 is clunky by todays standards...really clunky, but you will get used to it. One thing I love about ME1 are the skyboxes on some of the worlds you can land on and explore. The ones I've seen so far on the Legendary Edition remaster look absolutely terrific, especially for what is still an older base game.

The work they put into LE paid off - it doesn’t look like a game from 2007. I take it ME3 is also worth playing? Nobody ever seems to mention that one.

Btw, I have gone back and have tried playing Halo - a number of them - and just haven’t been able to get into them. The weapons seem a little lame. I really want to play a demo of Halo: Infinite before spending money on it.

Come to think of it, so will Flight Sim so you can use your credit for something else.

ME3 is a fantastic game that had the unfortunate and impossible burden of wrapping a trilogy of games dependent of individual choices. The endings were limited and not well received. Free DLC released after the negative reaction improved some aspects of the ending, but no one was ever going to be completely satisfied with the ending. There was also the nonsense move by EA to introduce multiplayer to the series for the first time and having your multiplayer performance impact your preparedness for the final story battle. Thankfully that has been removed from the LE.The work they put into LE paid off - it doesn’t look like a game from 2007. I take it ME3 is also worth playing? Nobody ever seems to mention that one.
