It has not been lost on me that the places in this country that are closest to my ideal climate are also the places that I would never, ever, ever live because of local politics. I'd rather jump naked into a swimming pool filled with double-edged razor blades than live in San Francisco, for example, but the weather there does meet my criteria. *sigh*

Western North Carolina might work for you, @Shyster. It gets a little warmer than 65, but nowhere near the heat of the rest of the southeast. I'm thinking Boone or Banner Elk would work. Decent internet connection so you could work remotely, 2A/Firearms friendly as well.

I have a dek hockey game tonight at 8. Forecast says it'll be 82 for ball drop.

Christ this is going to feel awful. We've only played 1 game in over-70 weather since the season began (most have been mid-40s). Not used to running in the heat at all.

I think we can all agree that memorial day weekend should have blazing hot weather.

Yup. High of 59 for Saturday out east here, and I see it is similar out your way.

Last weekend would have been a perfect Memorial Day weekend, but alas.

Monday will indeed be a great way to finish it tho.

:thumb: I think I've actually looked into those towns before while on a Wikipedia binge. IIRC, the west parts of the state has a narrow strip (up in the mountains?) that's a different climate type that is characterized by relatively stable temperatures year-round.

The forecast for this weekend has actually gotten considerably worse. I think I might have to cancel my tee time for Sunday AM, which I wasn't anticipating having to do.

The good news for yinz out west is that you will be out of the crap by Sunday night and Monday should be a beautiful day. Not here.

Can we push Memorial Day by a week?

Yes the actual day is supposed to be good here but we’re supposed to go to an outdoor grad party on Saturday. I feel bad for that kid. My oldest’s was about 95 degrees and sweltering but 51 and pouring? Nah, sorry kid. Here’s an envelope with $ in it which is why you invited us in the first place.

There's a chance it might not get out of the 40s here tomorrow. I'm happy we are getting much needed rain, but.... Come on, man.

The sting wouldn't be as bad if I was looking forward to watching the Pens.

My first golf tournament is Sunday in Hedgesville, WV. 56F and rain. Fun.

We are in a cabin for the weekend. We were going to trail ride and hike all weekend, now we might just watch some movies and read books. Could be worse.

Yup, I am coming around on embracing this. Will be nice to just be stuck inside and not be able to do any outside work.

Yeah, next weekend looks great. Which I'm happy about, as we are camping at Raystown lake and have a pontoon rental on Friday.
