Not that I've found. That would totally be a Pitt thing to have happen, but is there any legit source (that's not Pgh sports now) reporting that?
In fact, there's a PL thread about this and Matt Steinbrink takes it a step further. Steinbrink is probably more connected than anyone on Vuk's site to college recruiting, and he posted in that thread that he said he was not aware of any verbal commitment that Reid or the family gave to Pitt. He DID say that Reid did commit to a school back on 4/15, got hesitant for whatever reason(s), and the school backed away shortly after. Steinbrink said he's pretty sure that school was FSU. Ohio State also backed away from Reid around the same time.
A lot of people are speculating that Vuk's source was someone on the coaching staff and it was an attempt to save face.

That's what I'm guessing. Usually when it's one of these soap opera drama type things, 95% of the time it's made up or someone exagerates the story. But there is no way you can prove it false, so people like Vuk just run with it.Not that I've found. That would totally be a Pitt thing to have happen, but is there any legit source (that's not Pgh sports now) reporting that?

I don’t know how the site is still around. Beaver County Auto and GameChangers Training really can’t be paying enough to keep the lights on.

Disappointed to see Gipson transferring now that he's finally healthy, but it's not surprising. It's a pretty crowded WR room, so I don't think he was really in line to get on the field much this year.

What if I don't respect his decision?

That's pretty juicy if the AD publicly says that imo

After reading up on some stuff over the weekend, I thought my perspective on Reid's recruiting situation changed but wow, was I naive to think that things really weren't as they seemed.
I think it's pretty clear to see what happened here, especially after he delayed the 4/15 announcement and Mama Bear couldn't keep her mouth shut on Twitter. FSU and Ohio State backing away at that point probably spoke volumes, both about Wade's involvement and what Reid's family's ultimate end game was. If Overtime Elite got involved, it was just another party for them to use to try to get the best "offer".
It sucks but this has existed for years, and it's probably never going to get better. I can't say I entirely blame the family. It's the system that exists and I wonder if I'd really handle it any differently if my kid were in the same position. Maybe we find out five years down the road that Wade paid the kid/his family. If so, LSU will be put on probation, Wade will probably be let go with a nice cushy buyout, and he can go off to his next destination to do the same thing all over again.
I appreciate the fact that Lyke spoke up. What she said needed to be said. At the end of the day, though, the NCAA won't do anything immediate about it, and Wade has his 5-star player, and Pitt doesn't.
I'll be interested to see how Capel adapts to this. I tend to agree with what Peak said on his recent podcasts - stop chasing the 5-star kids, focus on a few select fertile areas, and build an identity around the 3-star/borderline 4-star kids that want to be here. It wouldn't be the worst idea for Pitt to try to bring in a Gary McGhee-type center for a year or two...just someone who can be physical and hold down the fort until you can recruit a higher-quality high school center. Probably easier said than done, but this team really does need an identity.

Looks like there’s two turncoat assbags suiting up for Indiana tonight. Nyk Sessock played two seasons at RB for Pitt before transferring to Indiana and barely playing because he’s a loser. Nate Ward from Greensburg Central Catholic is a terrible person who turned down Pitt to play for Indiana, unlike true hometown hero Luke Mort who is also a GCC graduate.

Marshall did their part and beat North Carolina.
Now time for Pitt to beat Indiana.

This is frustrating as hell. Pitt has absolutely kicked their ass and can’t get a ball in the net. I admire Indiana’s ability to play a boring as **** Big Ten style in every god damn sport.
