How does this guy still have a job?
Watched a video earlier where they showed Kiper had had multiple drafts in the last few years where he's whiffed on 20+ consecutive picks. He said if Jimmy Clausen - yes, that Jimmy Clausen - wasn't a bona fide star QB in 8 years, he'd retire; his counterpart said "You only need 3 years". That was 11 years ago, and yet Kiper lives.

I don't follow the college game (and therefore prospect rating) that closely, but it seems like the people who pay for Kiper's opinion are trolling the rest of us.
The above two posts can be answered by the following: MKJ does suck at his job, but he's helped turn the NFL draft into a cash cow.
When I was in college, i chose kiper for a report on a businessperson i admired. Everyone else chose people. Like warren buffet or Richard Branson. Kiper was a nerd that liked the draft and basically created the entire NFL draft industry. Do his takes suck? Yes. But the man is living the american dream.

Yes. We all know how hard it is for the NFL to get people to pay attention to NFL news.

God awful takes in here.

I'm glad you clarified that Kiper wasn't included with "people." At least you didn't pick Rovell

He has definitely helped turn it into a major sports watching thing. But, it’s just glorified prospect ranking. His “grade” is just comparing draft classes against how he ranked the prospects. I think these guys are plenty good at explaining why the really good prospects are good, but when it comes down to explaining why the Steelers 4th round pick is bad? Their analysis is as good as some drunk dude at the bar

I was heavily invested in the 2004 draft with Roethlisberger, but that's also the draft that opened my eyes to how painfully horrible MKJ and his ilk are at what they do. Like TL said, they do their homework, know the players, know teams' needs, but those are basically the only variables they use in their equation to figure out who will pick who. Then they are butt hurt that teams didn't prioritize certain players/positions over their own.

Part of me wants to think Al is going there as a plant to sabotage the Ravens.

He is. Perhaps, though, he just doesn't know it yet.

I’m beginning to believe big Al was more of a self centered narcissist than I even thought

This Chicago debacle made me question how he viewed himself among the team.

The national anthem stuff. When the team decided to stay in the locker room and he decided to walk out to the front standing alone like a real patriot.

Team A doesn't want you back - Team A's rival signs you. You are motivated to prove Team A wrong for not wanting you... what exactly is the issue or story here?

I don't care about that statement... the national anthem "LOOK AT ME!!!!!" stuff was garbage, but I'm sure the same has been said unironically about Kaep, so what do I know.

What I think is funny in the whole thing is that the Ravens signed him and immediately moved him to the non-TJ Watt side of their O-line.
