Hmm. I wonder if he makes it through this extension, without a franchise QB in the next few seasons.

While I'd prefer to see a wholesale change when Ben goes, I imagine this is correct.I imagine that gives him a longer leashHmm. I wonder if he makes it through this extension, without a franchise QB in the next few seasons.

Layne was arrested on suspicion of felony transportation of a firearm inside of a vehicle, according to jail records in Lake County, Ohio. He was also charged with two misdemeanors -- driving with a suspended license and exceeding speed limits. Layne was booked just after 3 a.m. Friday.

Is your team short on talent on the defensive side of the ball? Is your offensive line built of washed up has beens or guys named Chuks? Is your QB an egomaniac unwilling to change? Then draft a running back.

Weird take. Running game sucked and is immediately improved with Harris. Plenty of OL talent left for R2 and the entire unit is immediately upgrade with Al and Pouncey leaving, but again a better running back immediately improves the perception of the line. Short on defensive talent? Maybe at CB, but there was no one on the board that would have the immediate impact Harris will have.

Najee Harris really looks up to Megan Rapinoe, even mimics her goal celebration. Yinzers heads might explode

If this is their idea of a first round pick I am suddenly okay with the Fitzpatrick decision.

They picked a RB... okay... right... if the league has proven anything it’s like RB is a disposable position that has success built on mostly the quality of the o-line.

The only way this pick upsets me is if we don't grab an OL in the 2nd round. For all the dodinting Steelers fans do about their RBs, we go out and draft the highest ranked one on basically everyone's draft board, and now we shouldn't have done so? JFC

Taking a RB in the first round is kind of silly, but Harris is really good. They still need o-line help though. I do agree though that these days getting an RB in the 4th or 5th round isn't much different production wise than if you pick one in rounds 1 or 2. It's all about scheme.

This is pretty much my take. They need to address OL in the worst way, and while I would have rather of had a built OL. Whatever. Looking forward to them abandoning the run even though they say they won't do it, but always end up doing it.The only way this pick upsets me is if we don't grab an OL in the 2nd round. If the dude is a workhorse back, then I think the pick is a no-brainer. But if, like, it’s a Rashard mendenhall or Conner type, that needs a good line to look legit, then it’s a waste.
