Bought my daughter her first pair of rollerblades, which just arrived in the mail. This should be interesting.
Wife and daughter bought some that should arrive today as well. Looking forward to the family skates. I bought replacement wheels from inline warehouse. I was surprised at how difficult it is to find decent wheel replacements. I hope these are legit

Soccer shots is a national thing I think.

We have Soccer Shots here, too. I know she wants to play soccer at some point, too. I didn't sign her up last year because of, well, you know. May look at it in the fall if all goes well.

I should really buy a new pair myself, because I absolutely loathe my Mission blades. I'm surprised you had trouble finding wheel replacements, too, since they should mostly be fairly standard. Every set I looked for had 82mm wheels with ABEC-7 bearings.

Yeah... my kid has been at daycare for a while now, so the people she'll be with at the program are the kids she's around anyways. My wife has almost zero hand eye coordination. Like to the point where she's surprised that she caught something. And this isn't me knocking on her at all. She knows this and will admit it. She broke her hand on swim team. Yeah...

Well, my daughter is starting to look like she inherited my wife's hand-eye. So I'm really curious to see how this goes for her.

And the correct answer is 'her backstroke is so powerful that the force of the water snapped her developing wrist'.

Close... backstroke is correct. Pool wall, not the water though.

I have these rollerblade pro training biodynamic pfs skates that I bought a while ago and I probably could have got new skates for the price of some of these wheels

I regret throwing away my old CCM Tacks blades. That god damn plastic frame. I didn't know at the time that I could have had a shop bolt a new aluminum frame to the boots.

Damn, found a used pair of Tacks on eBay, but they're too small. My Tacks ice skates are size 11, and I recall the boot being very similar on the blades, so I assume I need to stick with that. My Missions are size 12.

Lil Mac does soccer shots at daycare also.

I was told by friends with older kids that it will really help them transition into organized youth sports at age 5+.

Just started reading some "Catwad" books with my two oldest boys. Don't know how we missed out on these previously

Lil mac decided to grab a hot curling iron yesterday. That was a fun morning. 2nd degree burns but all in all he should be fine.

Anybody have ones who had/are having a rough time going to daycare part of the week? Our little guy cries his eyes out going to daycare (started at the beginning of the year). Won't eat breakfast there, sits in his cubby. Comes out to eat lunch and nap and has a better afternoon, but the morning transition is really bad.

He had a hard time going back after it was shutdown for COVID, but most of the fall he was fine. Didn't go for about 3 1/2 weeks at end of December due to positive COVID teacher and me being off work, but ever since January it's waterworks. Just turned 2 in February.

Man little kid sports give me anxiety like crazy. We practice and practice and practice and then the game happens and it’s like they forget half the stuff we worked on. I totally get how some parents just yell the entire game. It’s def hard to hold back.

My son was like this when he went back after covid too for like a month, which also happened again in September when he moved classrooms. We talked to his teacher and the door greeter, and told her that when he came to just act happy. It helped. We also arranged to let him take in a very small toy each day (something that could fit in his pocket/locker) and that seemed to help.
