a friend of mine had a similar story about a sump pump. he owned his house for several years and had some of the usuall Pittsburgh problems with water. one day he accidentally flipped a switch in his laundry room and the sump pump kicked on. problem solved.I am so pleased that I discovered after 13 years that the whole-house fan in my house was not broken but merely switched off by a switch I'd never noticed before. It was a little stuffy in here, so I just opened some windows and cranked up the fan. Temp outdoors is 64. The temp inside dropped from 77 to 71 in about 10 minutes. Nice.

We have an attic fan, but the one time it turned on last year it was loud as heck....so I flipped it off. Probably should figure out why that is so we can use it.

Ours was belt driven on an old school pulley system. My dad said that my grandfather wired it in the 70s (we lived in my grandparents house from 2010-18).
That thing ran pretty much from April thru September every year without fail.

It was like shaking the one wall haha. We were told it worked and when we had the house inspected it checked out.. maybe it just is that loud. It would help to run the air less though if we had it on no doubt.IME, most are incredibly loud.We have an attic fan, but the one time it turned on last year it was loud as heck....so I flipped it off. Pretty normal. After a while you get used to it and it becomes background noise. In the summer it was nice as it drowned out the chirping of the cricketsIt was like shaking the one wall haha. Here’s a few fancy fire pits macI want to get a fire pit (metal with walls/mesh) for on my concrete patio. Does anyone else have one like this and do they throw ashes and stain the concrete bad? This is the one I have my eye on.

Anyone have a power washer suggestion? I'd love to be able to get my vinyl fence, which is about 125 feet at it's furthest from an outdoor faucet. Electric or gas makes no never mind to me

I have an electric and would probably go gas if I wanted a re-do. It's fine for cleaning a vinyl fence, but may lack the power if you intend to clean the second story siding on a house, IMO.Anyone have a power washer suggestion? Ohhh, one thing I will say - go to a big box store to check them out in person. Mine has this hard plastic hose for the wand, and it is **** horrible. I'd want something more flexible for sure.

We pay a guy to wash our house every spring, so that’s not an issue here. It’s really only for the fence, patio and driveway.I have an electric and would probably go gas if I wanted a re-do. I'd say you're probably fine with an electric, but you're quite far for both the electrical connection and hose connection. A gas unit isn't going to solve your hose issue, but it'd save you coin on the extension cord.We pay a guy to wash our house every spring, so that’s not an issue here.
