sucks that a strikeout ended in two runs and a hurt pitcher

You've gotta post the actual HR. That is one of the most beautiful bat crack sounds I've ever heard.

That’s who I’m prematurely signing for a bazillion dollars. The 22 year old with a perpetually **** shoulder.Padres star shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. suffered another injury to his troublesome left shoulder on a hard swing Monday and left San Diego's loss to the Giants.
The Padres announced that Tatis exited because of a shoulder subluxation, which is a partial dislocation of the joint, and will undergo an MRI on Tuesday.
Padres manager Jayce Tingler told reporters that Tatis has experienced minor dislocations in the past but said that Monday's incident was the most pain he's ever seen Tatis in. Tingler also acknowledged that the nagging shoulder issue may have been bothering Tatis "more than we realized."

I hate modern baseball so much. Jacob DeGrom is completely shutting down the Phillies through six innings. Zero runs, 3 hits, 7 K, and only 77 pitches.
So naturally, they pull him once he achieved his "quality start". Sure enough, the Phillies absolutely shelled the bullpen in the eighth and ended up winning 5-3. So freaking stupid. Analytics have ruined the sport.

Kudos to whoever found inflatable trash cans, I did not know those existed. I'm also glad to see that the pandemic didn't dampen baseball fans bitterness towards the astros.
Anyways, last night's Pirates Reds game pretty much summed up all that is busted with the game right now. Luis Oviedo was a Rule 5 pick that throws 97. Guys that throw 97 are such an expdendible commodity right now that they are left unprotected in the rule 5 draft. So far hes struck out 5 guys in 3 innings.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the ledger, we have lefthanded Cionel Perez of the reds, who is left handed and also throws 97 or higher. He's friggin lefthanded and throws 97. How did the Reds acquire him? By trading for a catcher who was drafted in the 13th **** round of the 2019 draft.
There are SO many relievers right now that throw unhittably hard that you can pick them up in the rule 5 draft or for a 13th round draft pick with 25 professional at bats. The reds and pirates stink and have guys going out there in the middle innings throwing gas that was considered to be elite less than ten years ago. No wonder starting pitchers dont go deep.
