Beautiful stretch of weather this week. Went for a run in shorts/t-shirt yesterday, and just sat out on the deck for an hour and read. Typical of March, it won't last.

My new boss is from NY but has lived in LA for a long time. He's telling me all this outdoor stuff he wants to do this weekend and how it's nice spring is here. False spring dude. 6 more weeks of **** weather.

I've never seen as much snow as I did that weekend in Grove City. We had to trek through above your knees snow to get to the dining hall.

I drank a lot of beer on that dry campus that weekend. That Monday was (allegedly) the only time they ever canceled classes due to weather.

I remember my brother and I jumping from the balcony of my mom’s second floor apartment into the snow. And the snow was coming sideways. Fun times

If this is the storm I'm remembering, I almost got stranded in Washington DC the day of this storm. If I had gotten started trekking home about an hour later, I might still be there. lol

David Letterman referred to this as "El Blizzardo Loco". All his guests that night had to cancel, and they had Itzhak Perlman's klezmer band perform because they could all walk to the studio.

Speaking of, I saw Pearlman perform when I was in college. Someone would walk out on stage after every number and give him World Series updates that he'd relay to the audience.

There are like 40 million people in the southern US under a sever weather warning. Stay safe, affected 5AFers.

@NTP66 has the great snowpile tragedy of 2021 gone away yet?

We had a branch blowdown in last week's windstorm. Yesterday I finally got around to picking it up and putting it in a small open trailer we keep sticks in before the lawn people take it. Just looked outside and the wind blew it out of the trailer.

I moved garbage cans inside this morning, moved pillows off the patio furniture, rolled up the patio blind. So far wind is howling, but nothing seems blown away yet...

Man. Already surging through the 70s here and might hit 80. Humid as hell too, at least for one day.

There’s a one way dead end alley that runs at the side of my property. It leads to a bunch of peoples garages on the next street and descends towards my house. So of course the empty garbage cans roll my direction, and the jag offs that have to get out of their car to move bins out of the way all think the cans are mine, so now there are like 4 empty garbage cans on my side.

This wind is ridiculous.... blew my grill over, whipped the screen door open and broke the auto return unit, blew my neighbor's trailer for his truck into our front yard.
