Let the melt begin. Going from single digits a few hours ago to 37F this afternoon. Then up to the mid-50s on Wednesday.

Not quite golf weather due to the sogginess, but the kangaroo will most certainly be hitting a few balls at the range.

I'd much rather have it play out this way than have those random 40 degree stretches in January and early February just creating mud and slush and dragging sht out through MarchThe reward for all the snow, early spring.2 days in the 10 day forecast with a high below 47. hell yeah boys

Yeah. This has made me realize that I planned to build a garden this year but thus far have done **** all to plan it.

My friend and I made a pledge to play at least one round each month of 2021. I doubt any real courses will be open tomorrow, so looks like it will have to be Schenley to squeeze in the Feb round. Not quite golf weather due to the sogginess, but the kangaroo will most certainly be hitting a few balls at the range.

Meadowink is usually open as long as there isn't snow on the ground. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that Schenley on the first nice day of February will feature mass chaos, confusion, and crossfire. My friend and I made a pledge to play at least one round each month of 2021. Well, Meadowink is not answering their phone. I think tomorrow is going to be kind of crappy, so it's not really the "first nice day". But, I do intend on calling around to see if something else is open tomorrowMeadowink is usually open as long as there isn't snow on the ground. "Superior mirages occur because of the weather condition known as a temperature inversion, where cold air lies close to the sea with warmer air above it," Braine said. "Since cold air is denser than warm air, it bends light towards the eyes of someone standing on the ground or on the coast, changing how a distant object appears."

It's an impressive cold air mass when you can have wall to wall sunshine in March and not hit 40. Wind has just been brutal the last few days, have barely gone outside at all.
Very warm stretch coming soon though.

Rained overnight, and there's a community in Orange County that went through some fire damage a few months ago that is now under 3' of mud. Whoop.
