Is that protomolecule Miller or regular Miller?
Nice. Like four of us will get that reference, but I like it.

With the obvious caveat that modeling can change, another winter storm coming Wednesday night into Thursday.
This is doing exactly what the last one did here in Latrobe. Each day that passes the forecast snowfall amount drops by 2". In this one it went from 7" to 4" to 2".

It works out for me. My wife's car is in the shop so she's driving my tow rig van which has no traction control, LSD, nothing. Just snow tires and a prayer.

Haven't seen a recent ShadCast but TWC has us at 4-8" tomorrow.

TWC are bread and milk salesmen. And by bread and milk, I mean ad buys. ;)

My app has been pretty reliable and is in line with the NWS forecast. NWS has 1-2" overnight and 1-3" during the day.

I'd welcome one of those random 50 degree days to melt this ice that's covering my yard though

I'm tired of snow. I too would like a 50 degree day.

How's the Lancaster area looking for late Thursday through mid-Friday (real weather, not TWC theatrics)...? My mom is supposed to have a surgery on Friday, but it might get squashed if the weather is bad...

Just texted my brother in Texas. He's been without power since Sunday and yesterday moved in with friends after the inside temp went close to freezing. They had another ice storm last night. Said water treatment capacity is down to 25%. Crazy times.

This is going to be a long duration event...I think there is going to be a rapidly advancing warm layer aloft (while still below freezing at the surface), which means a sleet storm at some point. It's all going to depend on timing...

NWS in State College has our area at 9" for a forecast, but I would be shocked if that verifies. It seems like every time we are on the temperature borderline, the warm air aloft advances faster than models pick up on. Wouldn't be surprised for it to turn to sleet after 3-5".

Points further northwest obviously do not have to worry about the mixing.

Inch and a half on the ground here already.

Observers down in MD/DC area already reporting freezing rain and sleet. If it changes over to ZR that early down there, could be looking at a mess.

About an inch here so far. Everything is shutting down. I expect it out of the local schools, but even penn state shut down. I guess with so many classes being online the cost side of the cost/risk analysis was way down.

I feel like you could make a lot of money rolling into Texas right now with propane hearers and tanks.

We got about 5.5" of snow here. Some areas in the Philadelphia suburbs REALLY overperformed, over a foot in some spots.

It has changed over to sleet, some of the heaviest sleet I've seen in my life.

Just blew off my driveway. Got enough snow to make tire tracks, not much more. I did it more so I could get out and stretch my legs than anything. Going up to mid-40s next week.

We ended up with about 7" of snow and sleet. We got about six hours of light back end snow yesterday.

My Facebook memories from four years ago was playing outside with my daughter in shorts. Apparently February 2017 got very warm.

Random, but, my wife's mother passed away three years ago yesterday, so 2018. I distinctly remember there being no snow at all and the day being sunny.
