RIP Spade, my parents last remaining pet from my childhood. 17 is a good run, still remember the day my dad brought him and his brother home from the pool where he found them hiding under his car. He wasn't the one to come sit on your lap but he'd always hang out near the front steps so I could pet him. I'll miss him.

Thanks everyone. He was at the end of his rope and, unfortunately, he's better off in his slumber. When I went home for Christmas he slept in the same bed as me, he followed me up there, so I feel like we had our goodbye. I've been fortunate to have some awesome cats growing up and makes me appreciate the little stinker I have now even more. Hurts that's he's gone but he lived one hell of a life.

That look, to me, is the one saying, "no, i will not get off the furniture".

We got our second dog right before quarantine, and she turned 1 in December. It's going to be a shock for her when we start having to leave the house for work. The thing this weekend I realized, that I find so amusing about her, is that she still definitely thinks she can beat me up, if I start doing some stretching on the mat, there's a 75% chance I get ambushed.

RIP Spade. I'll pour one out in your honor tonight.

And Mrs Tif says she would very much like to give Murphy a scratch on his head for his birthday.

I decided to get a jump on my 2021 hens, and picked up 6 at rural king like 3 weeks ago. Usually I'd leave my brooder out in the garage but with the freezing Temps I decided to put them in the basement on top of the freezer.

Anyway, I could hear chirping loudly and open the basement door yesterday to see one peep staring me in the face. Needless to say they're now outside in the garage with a screen over top

Never heard of this until I drove by on Saturday. Is that a single store or that whole shopping center?

Why do cats like to barf/hairball on carpets/upholstery only? There's some nice, vinyl flooring for you kitty cat. Have at it.

FWIW, I have used this for cat puke (with our old cat, mostly), and it has worked wonders along with our SpotBot:

It takes up about half of that plaza you drove by.

The famed "Pechins" used to be in the other half, if you'd ever heard of it.

The sign is so big I thought it was the name of the shopping center.

Nah, never heard of it.

I have no issues cleaning the carpet or upholstery. It's just the time involved. Using a paper towel vs. paper towel plus cleaner

I don’t know what happened, but we lost 4 fish in the last 3 days in my wife’s freshwater tank. Two looked normal when they died, but the last two had white patches on their scales. Didn’t look like a traditional fungal infection, which is generally fuzzy, but it had to have come on quick and killed even quicker. I’ve never seen anything kill this quickly. Water changes and Melafix is all we can do at this point.

It really sucks because one of the fish that died was a 5+ year old clown pleco, which was our favorite fish in the tank.

Definitely not ich. The only reason I think it could be fungal is because the last rainbow that died had white fuzz around his mouth. The others just had white patching, but no fuzz. I have just never seen fungal issues kill fish so quickly before, which is why I’m not sure that’s what it is.

Hmm. Do you have live plants? I’d try aquarium salt if not.
