BEER
I've often read that 80% of brewing is just cleaning... today is a cleaning day. Clean out a couple kegs that kicked earlier this week, sanitize, fill with beer that was brewed a few weeks ago, carb 'em up and get 'em ready to go. I don't mind though... bought some Flower Power to drink while I work.
Additionally, I saw Stone's Enjoy By 4.20 in 12 oz. 6 packs. Not sure if they've done that with previous Enjoy Bys, but I've always only seen them in bombers.

So I'm not sure how flower power got as far as it has in the beer tourney we're having. It's a decent east coast IPA, but I'm not sure if it stacks up to 60 or 90 minutes, let alone any west coast IPAs.

Obviously it's all subjective, but I don't think 60 or 90 minute even come close to flower power. I think its one of the best IPAs around.count2infinity wrote:So I'm not sure how flower power got as far as it has in the beer tourney we're having. DId you drink it from the can? I'm so desperate to try this that I've come up with a plan that includes tracking down an email address from someone who attended a class with me in college and I've heard is now living in Vermont. I understand he has family living around the same town as my camp up north, my hopes is that next time he visits home, I can go up to camp and make a pickup. It's a longshot, but it's all I got right now.MWB wrote:Yup, Heady Topper is still great.

I usually drink it from the can, but poured it this time because I wanted to compare the look to Chillwave.eddysnake wrote:DId you drink it from the can? If you are someone trying to get it, check the website. They have a delivery schedule there. I used to work at a beverage store, and luckily, my boss liked me. He gets it there, and my parents are usually able to get some to bring to me. Apparently he doesn't put it all out and sets some aside for certain customers.
Craig, if you're driving to Montreal, the store is about 5 minutes off of Interstate 89.

Yes, I am intrigued by this. It could be super interesting or a mess.

Where did you get it? I did not think Firestone had distro into PA.eddysnake wrote:Tried a Firestone walker Opal last night, it was very enjoyable. I plan to drink more of this.
Had a wine weekend 3-4 years ago in the Santa Maria area, and we stayed at a hotel down the street from their main facility. So good.

No, they definitely do. I've gotten numerous Firestone beers at Wegman's and other bottle shops in PA.tifosi77 wrote:Huh, maybe they sell to restaurants but no retail distro (in PA)?

I wanted to recommend FW in old beer thread, but I did a search on their website that returned precisely 0 results in PA within 150 miles of my mom's ZIP code in Altoona. Figured they just didn't sell in.
Alright then...... go drink Firestone Walker beers!
