The whole video before the video thing was lame. If he just made a tweet that he was posting a video at noon, then that would have been cool.

The Fan was hyping the video hardcore this morning. Pittsburgh Dad Jr. made it seem like the entire city would be pounding the F5 button all morning waiting for this announcement.

Isn't that a weave (AKA fake hair)? And does El Gordo now have a full beard?

If you get MASN sports, the Bucs are on tonight at 7pm.

Rocco will have to turn heel, in the face PBP's optimism.

That doesn’t mean there isn’t motivation in Olney’s prediction. He has the Pirates beating the Seattle Mariners in the World Series.

“We’re working to make him a prophet,” Huntington said.

What do you think of the Pirates rotation. I dont think its bad, but it seems underwhelming to me. Looking at what they have, im thinking that bullpen is going to be really leaned on.

I think Brandon Cumpton getting TJ surgery really hurt them. We'll see when Taillon is ready, but I do think they have a bit of an issue with SP depth. I am also willing to think they may win a lot of 7-5, 6-4 games.

It's not great, but it's better than last year. Taillon and Kingham are on the way too.

Look at how 2014 started:

Liriano, Cole, Morton, Volquez & Wandy
Grilli, Melancon, Watson, Wilson, Morris, Jeanmar & Pimentel

It was a disaster until they sorted out the personnel. I have faith in Searage and Huntington to sort out the staff as the season moves along.

I don't think it's a stretch to assume that Melancon and Watson can be leaned on in the bullpen as some guys work themselves out of the picture. I don't think Hughes, Liz and that Caminero will all be on the roster come August. but someone will emerge as key guy.

I think Cole stays healthy and gives them 200 strong innings. Worley and Burnett will also provide plenty of competitive innings...and pitch them to 6-5 wins. Liriano and Morton are going to be the figures that test the rotational depth. Locke stays healthy and isn't much of a downgrade from Morton. Liriano is elite when healthy, and a DL trip can be counted on. As long as he doesn't try to pitch through any pain he could replicate his 2013 numbers.

For me the biggest question mark is whether Cole reaches that other level this year or not. Another potential insurance policy would be Richard. Hopefully he accepts an assignment in Indy and passes Locke on the depth chart, I think he could give them what Worley gave the rotation last year.

I'm not the biggest Rocco fan but from reading the thread it's obvious they listen to him far more than you. :pop:

Looking forward to opening day. Lets Go Bucs!

I'd be fine if he just kept his shtick over at the other place. He made that thread miserable to try and follow. 162 games of it is unbearable.
