Incredily fun MLS game tonight - KC vs. Philly. Philly up 2-1 into stoppage time (six minutes). KC scored two goals in extra time to pull out the win. KC's crowd was going bonkers.

Yeah, I watched that too. That was a great game. I really like that Fox Sports and ESPN seem to have made it a staple to show two games late afternoon/early evening on Sundays. It makes it much easier to catch games.Incredily fun MLS game tonight - KC vs. Philly. Philly up 2-1 into stoppage time (six minutes). KC scored two goals in extra time to pull out the win. If QPR wins by two today (tonight for some), they tie Aston Villa & potentially push them into the relegation zone for the EPL. I say maybe because I don't know the tiebreaker situations.

Speaking of hitting the sweet spot on the volley... here's the after-the-bounce version.

A pretty long but interesting interview with Mourinho. Some snippets...
When I ask what is the most interesting thing he has encountered outside football in recent times he talks about visiting the Ivory Coast in his role as World Food Programme Ambassador Against Hunger. “This has been a fantastic experience for me, that I shared with my wife and kids,” he says. “We know about poverty, but to be directly in contact with that reality was fantastic – negative, positive, difficult to deal with, but at the same time [there is a feeling of] tremendous pride to be connected with it, to promote their works.”
He and his wife also support a Catholic food programme in Setúbal. “But we have a principle that we do it not for people to know, or to promote our profile. We do it because we can, and we want our son and daughter to understand how privileged we are, and to understand that other people need support.” ...
Mourinho says he has no close friends in English football. “Some, we like each other and have some communication, but I cannot say so close.” But there is one man for whom his admiration is boundless: Sir Alex Ferguson.
The two men first met as managers in 2004, when Porto knocked Manchester United out of the Champions League. “That was when I felt the two faces of such a big man,” Mourinho says. “The first face was the competitor, the man that tried everything to win. And after that I found the man with principles, with the respect for the opponent, with the fair play – I found these two faces in that period, and that was very important for me.

Did Kompany blow a quad just before the tackle?

Stuttgart won 3-2, btw, with a winner in injury time. Hamburg, the only club that was never relegated from the Bundesliga, are now dead last.

Interesting weekend with Villa beating Liverpool to get to the FA Cup Final. Arsenal should win the final but Tim Sherwood has done a good job with Villa so far.
In other news, my team, Falkirk, made the Scottish Cup Final by beating Hibs. We will face Inverness who beat Celtic today who had their keeper sent off.
