Yeah Butker is getting the appropriate amount of mockery. I’m sure there are corners of the internet who are giving him their appropriate amount of praise as well. It’ll be forgotten about come week 1. And I agree that it’s hilarious that people think the NFL of all leagues would take any sort of action against this.
What did people want the league to do? If anything wouldn’t it be the team? I suppose if you look at it as an employer/employee relationship they could take the “does not align with the organizations values.” route but even then I highly doubt they care, they just want to win football games… the only way something would get done is if their money gets affected through losing sponsors.
It's the forever cycle of "who's the bigger hypocrite", aka the unwinnable game.

There's that tweet calling the league hypocrites for the Kaepernick thing, and whatever story that was posted about people "they out here saying" that Butker should be cancelled/fired.

I mean, we can bring all that into the discussion, but as far as I can tell, we were just talking about how stupid his speech was. Then it spiraled because...reasons.

Also, funny post I saw, which would explain a lot, talking about how Butker is actually a closeted bi/gay guy who used to hook up with dudes in college.

It was out of frustration that too many trans people were using it...

And if you think the owners are a bunch of liberal snowflakes, you've got another thing coming.

This was pre-trans people outrage, sir.

I’m likely not the demographic but every schedule release social media post I’ve watched has come up well short in the satisfaction department. The Titans tried a reprise of last year’s, which was funny, and that fell on its face.
The Steelers one wasn't bad but it wasn't anything I'd put in the "I HAVE TO FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE!" class. The Titans one was bad enough that I had to rewatch it to make sure that I didn't miss something. Recycling the idea just felt lazy. I thought the Chargers' one was creative, and they even called back last year's Titans video in one of their scenes.

But I wasn't going to seek out all 32 teams to see who had the best one. Three was plenty for me.

It's the most "this could have been an email" event on the NFL calendar.

Those look like AFL/XFL/UFL uniforms or whatever.

Yeah, this is one of those things - innocuous as it is - that just turns me into Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino, except replace lawless minorities with "the Internet"...

I didn't know that the NFL schedule release was supposed to be a thing.

This is the first year where I keep hearing people say that it's a thing.

Aside from that Titans video, I don't think I saw anything but maybe a few posts about the Steelers playing on x-mas? So I don't think it was a thing.

And it looks like those two Christmas games will be exclusive to Netflix. So, that's a thing.

I saw the chief’s release, which I enjoyed. The Steelers part was my favorite.

Apparently they did in 1938.

Those uniforms are hideous though. It was like they were designed with the goal to combine all of the worst elements of their past uniforms.

Unfortunately, as a Steelers fan I can't say ****.

At least the '33 jerseys were from a single year and not the worst pieces from two decades cobbled together.

OK then. All the classic pictures I saw just had the hideous stripes sans wings.

Also, how has somebody not made an app where I can load a picture and it tells me what a colorblind person would see. Be cause I think maybe if you were colorblind those unis would look a lot better if I couldn't see red.
