sheeesh. I had a conversation with my chiro during the end of days with our GSP. he mentioned how my back was more jacked up than usual and I said I’d been carrying around a 70 pound dog for a week. I wish I could recall exactly what he said, but it was a very diplomatic “well when he dies, come back and I’ll put you back together.” something I can laugh at now

We've already decided to put her down the first week of June. I'm laughing now so the crying won't hurt as much later.
But seriously, my wife and I both have dog-induced back issues that are no joke. We don't normally do big dogs (over 35lbs) and this is a good reason to be more strict on that rule in the future.

check out the Horizon 7.0. it connects to the Peloton app and people in Peloton Facebook groups that don't want to shell out $3k for the Peloton one rave about it. do you already have a Peloton Bike?My wife wants a treadmill now....and I'm trying to decide if its worth it to pay 3k for a Peloton one. I feel if we cheap out we are just going to get what we pay for, but I'm clueless on treadmills overall.

if you're already shelling out $44 a month for All Access and you've got the money, I'd say just go for the Peloton.

Hit a total of 50lbs lost this year on Friday. Starting to feel a little bit better, have slightly more energy. Haven't been this weight since around 2012 or so.

I pitched at teeball Saturday. I've found the kids hit better when I go down to one knee (I am 6'3" lol) and man after 3 innings of up and down for about 12 batters my legs are still sore

Peloton bike people... Can you WD40 the pedals? I usually have the music up so can't hear it but the squeaking is getting annoying

I’d suggest a silicone lube

Second the silicone lube. Regular WD-40 isn't a lubricant and will eventually gum up. The do offer a silicone lube; it's the WD-40 Specialist Silicone Lubricant.

I've been very frustrated with weight loss, the last six months more than usual. About 5 weeks ago I said **** it and dove into full body strength training 4-5 days a week with a cardio ride sprinkled in very occasionally.
I haven't lost any weight but I am getting stronger. And all of my shirt arm holes have shrunk.
If I commit (again) to a better diet I should show some good tone.
I did Andy Speers Total Body program. Looking forward to progressing to his Total Body 2 program, which is more intense and six weeks long.

57 lbs down this morning, new low.
I'm on week 8 of the shots. I've lost about 19 of the 57 lbs on it. It definitely makes it easier to stick to the diet, but you also still gotta stick to the diet. It's not magic, but I'm not going to say its not helping. It's also really made me realize how crazy of a relationship I had with food and I'm still kinda struggling with that. At night after a rough day there's nothing more I would still like to do than polish off a whole bag of potato chips, but I just have learned to stifel that craving with something else (carrots and Greek yogurt...a diet soda.. Something else). Im starting to feel a good bit better. It's crazy to think if I keep this pace up I'll be down almost 100lbs in a year. Which I fully intend to do. I need to start mixing in some more intense exercise. All I'm doing right now is walking. Would love to get back into strength training of some sort.

I used to do this with my sister's lab and my mom's bulldog. Respectively both dogs are 110 lbs and 60 lbs.sheeesh. I had a conversation with my chiro during the end of days with our GSP. he mentioned how my back was more jacked up than usual and I said I’d been carrying around a 70 pound dog for a week. I wish I could recall exactly what he said, but it was a very diplomatic “well when he dies, come back and I’ll put you back together.” something I can laugh at now
I can still scoop up the bulldog, but the lab gets squirrelly once you come in to scoop him up.
The bulldog likes to be carried if you get his front paws over the back of your shoulder. If you put him down, he starts jumping (or does what passes for jumping) like he wants to go back up.
But the lab? I would usually only pick him up to do a "how much does he weigh?" since getting him to park himself on a scale isn't possible. I'd weigh myself, then weigh myself with the dog and then do the math. But with him being well north of 100 these days, it's safe to say his days of getting weighed at home are in the past.
And with the back issues that I have, I probably shouldn't be picking up either one.
