lol I like how they made sure to include the NBA. I’d like to see how many Steph could make with a smaller ball and closer 3 point line

Making 25 of 27 3’s is beyond ridiculous no matter the circumference of the ball.

caught the end of USA-Germany in the World Cup. I find it amazing that the US lost. Obviously a young team but we have so much more talent…not that we can’t lose but I’m surprised by it when it happens
I guess this adds some juice to the Olympics next year

Not surprised at all those idiots lost. Too much heroball and Germany killed them by playing like a team (29 assists on 39 FG). Germans had them in a friendly a couple weeks ago but coughed it up. They learned from that one while the US kept getting suckered by the same stuff.
That being said, this team won’t be in Paris. Curry, Lillard, and Lebron among others will take care of business.

I think it was Wilbon that was saying it, and I agree, that the Olympic team should effectively be this same squad plus maybe Curry for some vet presence. But I think international basketball is more fun this way

Jimmy Butler is Andre 3000
The Miami Heat forward arrived for the team's first official day of work this season with piercings — eye, lip and nose — along with a new hairstyle and his fingernails painted black.
It's become a trend of sorts for Butler, who went through the Media Day gamut last year with dreadlocks in a deviation from his usual look.
“I'm very emotional right now. This is my emo state and I like this. This is me,” Butler said. “This is how I'm feeling as of late.”
Coaches greeted Butler with smiles and laughs. Teammates, it seemed, were caught a bit off guard. Heat center Bam Adebayo — who hadn't seen his teammate before meeting with reporters — thought someone had photoshopped something when a reporter showed him photos of Butler's look.
“That is not real. ... That is (expletive) hilarious,” Adebayo said.
Added Heat guard Tyler Herro: “He told me this was his Halloween today.”
Still unclear: If Butler will keep the look when Miami opens practice on Tuesday.

These paint jobs for the Tournament courts make my eyes hurt. But then, I'm not the demographic they're trying to impress.

I was looking at Sixers tickets and noticed those games. Are they trying to do a soccer style in-season competition thing?

Yeah, it’s folded into the season schedule where Tuesdays & Fridays this month (minus Election Day) will be Tournament games. Knockout round in December, semis and championship in Vegas. Winners get $500k per man, which will be gone in 5 minutes in the high rollers room…or at the Rhino.
Why they’re doing this? No clue.

It's the sort of concept I find interesting, it just seems confusing.
