They used that flash forward through the entire series, and that? That was the closure to that part of the story? That's it? I refuse to believe that.
Better Call Saul
So do they continue with the two timelines? Or did episode 9 end that line because it brought us fully to Saul? I’m not sure how Walt and Jessie fit in then. But I think the “future” timeline continues.
Better Call Saul
Yeah weak episode following an all time great one. Hopefully we get Saul next week. Screw Gene.
Better Call Saul
Ep11 is apparently called Breaking Bad (unconfirmed).

I hope the entire episode is about Skyler.
Better Call Saul
Clearly the worst person in the BB/BCS universe.

I was listening to a podcast about this show today, and that is one thing they discussed. That this is the end of the Gene storyline, which means that that's how Jimmy/Saul/Gene ends up. And could also mean the end of Kim's story. So the remaining episodes would essentially be Saul in the BB timeline most likely I guess?I think the purpose is to finish his story. Closure. I'd be surprised if they got back to Gene.
But maybe I'm wrong.

Didn’t watch the last four eps until now, so I’m finally back up to date
I wish they had spent more time in between when Kim left him and when we first see him on BB. Like I want to see him squash what’s left of Jimmy and go full Saul

I can’t see that. I think closure for this character means seeing what happens with him as Gene. I think it’s gonna end up with him in the clank and Kim will see him in jail or something and then that’s itI was listening to a podcast about this show today, and that is one thing they discussed. I feel like the destiny for Jimmy has always been jail. BCS made him sympathetic but at the end of the day he’s not a good guy. His actions lead to both Chuck and Howard dying

I think he f*cked up by calling Kim. Either the cops or the cartel are going to get to him and that’ll be the end of it.
Better Call Saul
Yes but Chuck and Howard had it coming.

Chuck did himself in. I’m not so sure about Howard. Was he a dick? Yeah. But he didn’t deserve that kind of end.

I loved how they peeled the character throughout the series and at first you kind of hated him but I thought they did a good job at making him more innocent than we thought. Saul and Kim bullied him
Better Call Saul
Chuck was a horrible character. The show improved immediately once he was written off. Howard was just a dick.

Chuck was legitimately a bad person. Howard wasn’t. He could be bad from time to time but he didn’t have the hate and evil in him that Chuck did.
Better Call Saul
I’m with you. Im saying the character was poorly written and dragged the show down, not that Chuck was a bad person. I struggled through the first few seasons because of Chuck.

Ah. I see. I don’t think he was poorly written. I come from a large family and I have a sibling that’s a Chuck and I have a sibling that’s a Jimmy (to way lesser extents, obviously). I get the dynamic between the two.

The electrosensitivity thing from Chuck felt like it belonged in another show
Better Call Saul
Yeah maybe poorly written is harsh. I just really disliked his character and the whole tin foil ****.
Better Call Saul
Nailed it. He was a distraction and didn’t fit in the BB world. The electrosensitivity thing from Chuck felt like it belonged in another show
Better Call Saul
Hm.

Nah. Shows the extent of how f*cked up he was. Also showed how much Jimmy cared for him. Al the way through, Jimmy never quit on him and always took care of him. Showed the depth Jimmy had for love and compassion and then that was broken.
Better Call Saul
No I get all that but the electro sensitivity thing was very very stupid. Give him a legit disability and it’s a huge improvement. He’s still annoying but at least he’s not annoying and very very stupid.
