Gretzky had this Jerry Rice thing going on, where it just didn’t make sense how good he was. Now…his goalscoring is a load of BS (lots of all time greats stop being an elite scoring threat at the age of 29 right?), but it’s possible nobody ever sees the ice that way ever again.

Mario is probably the best combination of skill and physical ability, and he was probably the best example of “men against boys” we’ll ever see. But the competition wasn’t as evenly stratified as it is today.

…McDavid is a freak. I only know about 1990 to today, but that’s 30 years of seeing nothing like him. Not even close. It’s gonna be a frustrating life of the Gretzky people finding caveats to not invite him to the grown up table.

This has nothing really to do with how good Mcdavid is but the Pacific division has to be one of the worst divisions in recent memory right?

The Ducks, Kings, and Sharks are probably in the top 5 worst teams in the league. Krakken are an expansion team and its likely not gonna be a vegas style one. The Flames are basically the Minnesota Wild from a few years ago but worse. The Canucks are decent. The Oilers are good because of their stars but are poorly built. And the Knights are a good team.

Again, not taking away from Mcdavid...just commenting on how terrible the division is

Interesting that the Rangers fourth line with Reaves and Rooney got out there against Matthews and Marner in the last minute of a 1-1 game. The fourth line almost won it actually, pretty bizarre. Crazy overtime, worth going back and watching if you're so able...
