Like, I appreciate the chaos of this, I do...but Wilson doesn't learn a lesson here. He thinks this is a play date especially for him...

I don't condone dirty play often, I don't like to see players get hurt...but if you really want to do something meaningful here, do it...Carl Hagelin tugging off Vitaly Kravtsov isn't gonna do it for me...

Why does it seem like none of the players go along these lines (re taking it out on Backstrom)? Go jump him. Inflict damage on their team. There isn't one dude on the rangers that can even hold a candle to Wilson (there really aren't many in the league in general).

Gotta wonder if they couldn't call someone up because of Covid protocol. Any other year maybe they bring up their Trevor Gillies.

It's tough to be psychopath if you aren't one already...

If someone said to me, "Hey, there's mac's grandma, putting change in a parking meter...give her a good shove..." ...I don't think I can do that. And I know it's not the same thing, but it's not always easy to just inflict damage on someone...Backstrom is a star in this league, do you really have it in you to - in theory, potentially - end his HOF career short of its finish because of something he had really nothing to do with...?

And yeah, I get what Wilson did, does, and will continue to do...and who he did it to, now, and will continue to do it do, but he's a psychopath...it comes naturally to him...it's quite likely that Brendan Smith is not, he's just a guy trying to hang in the league...he might not want to get suspended for 40 games and never play in the NHL again to avenge some player that doesn't know his name...

It's like the thing you see in the political thread, but in reverse here. "If I was a cop and was getting tased with my own taser while his buddy is throwing angry pitbulls at me, I'd just take a deep breath, count to 10, and offer them a chance to gas up my wife...I'd never even think to grab for my gun..."

It's really easy - and I'm not saying this at you mac machine - to say, "yeah, just beat that dude's mom to death with the family dog" and it's really easy to say, "the only time you should reach for your gun is to surrender it to the perp" right up until it's time to instinctively do the opposite...

This is what time taking about.
