Reaves still sucks.
This **** opinion of yours remains incorrect no matter how many times you post it.
Golden goal of the Campbell Conference Final...

Terrific fourth line player in this league, no question...

The Jets will probably miss the playoffs next season.

Vegas hasn't even faced any trouble. They've just steamrolled everyone straight to the final. It's unreal

The "cast-offs playing with extra motivation" narrative is silly. It didn't seem to help other expansion teams much.

Calling them cast-offs is beyond stupid.

I would call them “average” to “above-average” players that are pissed their team didn’t protect them.

There’s gotta be more to that Florida story. You don’t give up two players of that caliber unless you have your bits between a rock and a hard place.

Well, I’ll take Vegas over Tampa or Washington.

The pissed thing is also beyond stupid. This is all about belief. They got thrown together. Gallant said this is the simple ass way we are going to play and he pushed the snowball down the hill. And here we are.

JAM wasn't signed and they didn't want to pay for the 30 goals that he got because they figured he couldn't get that number again...they trusted their judgment and tried to cash out early...this allowed them to move Reilly Smith ($5 million real dollars for the next three or four years I think) coming off of a 15-goal season...so they're thinking they made a bad guess on Smith and they're unwilling to bet on JAM...so they paired them up and sent them away...

They make two-thirds of a top line in the Stanley Cup Final...but...uh...where was I going with this...?

When was the last time a team only had 3 losses in the playoffs going into the finals? It has to be a Red Wings team

My god this is amazing though. They're rolling over teams

Kings in 2012? I think they went 12-2 as an 8th seed...

Engelland grows up in Vegas wanting to play in the NHL. Not for Vegas of course. Because why would that happen? Then Becomes the de facto captain of the Vegas expansion team and goes to the finals his first year.

This is a real thing?

And don't forget the guy that was the coach there was left looking for a taxi outside RBC in Raleigh. And now he's taking pics with the Clarence Campbell Bowl.

Yeah, Gallant is terrific. I didn't really know too much about him until he was with Saint John in the Q...he was there for three years and the team lost like 10 games or whatever number there...he was a monster there, he ends up in Florida, makes them relevant (before being unceremoniously dumped) and now he has, what, certainly not a top-3 roster in the conference, right? Is it top-5? In the Cup Final...it's something else.

I’m still confused about the love that Pittsburgh gives Fleury. I mean, I understand why, but it is stupid.

IMO
I don’t root for him cause he’s such a swell guy.

It’s primarily because of what he went through the last couple years. And yeah he handled it classy, but even if he didn’t, that’s a complicated and difficult way to say goodbye to your hockey bros. He deserves good things for losing his spot to a possibly inferior goalie and then getting sent to Siberia right after.

Go, Fleury. Suck one, meow.

Fleury is one of the most likable guys in all of sports imo. Seems completely genuine and fun.

I absolutely root for him because of that and because of his tenure in Pittsburgh

No question. He turned and asked him (at least on CBC)...we touched it in '09, '16 and '17...and Fleury is the real captain...he unquestionably made that call...
