Weekes is a C- analyst on a good day
He doesn't want to do this. He either wants to be Stuart Scott or he wants to be a GM.

He is going to typecast himself as…whatever he is doing and not be taken seriously.

weekes has an irritating amount of polish. it's boring, and makes people think he's sharper than he is

it's the pierre thing. weekes figures out the polished story first, then crams in the supporting details later, even if they don't make sense.

his goal is to look like a guy who knows what's up. so he builds a tight little narrative and guys like ryan whitney think he's super sharp instead of just well-rehearsed.

Same thing with me and Edzo...just because you played in the league doesn't mean you know x's and o's or even technique better...he clearly demonstrates that...hell, I posted that Dustin Byfuglien "tutorial" video one time here and it's a complete gas, it's literally the opposite of how to play...

eichel wants to be on a good team. he doesn't want to help build a good team, however.

the sabres are correct to want to move on.

So uhh.... I haven't seen anything about league discipline for Palmieri for his shoulder to the face of McAvoy after the whistle last night. The hell?

Rask has a torn labrum in his hip. That is quite a significant injury to play through.

i don't know if a team can keep a horseshoe up their butt for 4 rounds. but it will be this team, if anyone can do it.

there's also not much prestige to be considered the worst cup winner of all time (ask Canes fans), so yay isles. keep it up, you loser f*cks.

All these Turner hires and not a single Darren Pang to be found. I haven’t heard him the past couple years but I remember catching a couple Blues feeds on center ice and I really enjoyed his commentary.

these media hirings are the lowest-effort brand building i've ever witnessed.

The worst cup winner of all time still won the **** Stanley Cup. They all count the same.

hey i have a question.

why is there now only a 5 square foot patch of ice where guys skate with the cup? is it a courtesy to the bottom rung guys who would otherwise wait an hour for their turn, or are hockey players lunk heads who forgot that doing a full lap would be a little more fun than doing a figure skater spin over a small swatch of ice?

Typically the later in the handoff order you are, the shorter the lap you take.

Dude, like the captain ain’t even going for a skate anymore. They stay in the little pen that the camera crews sort of carve out for them…do 2 seconds of woooooo and then hand off to the next guy.

Full lap for anyone who dressed that game. Mandatory.
