In 1961 there were 8 goalies that played 30 or more games. Eight. Fifteen goalies total (one of which played 1 minute).
The talent was pretty concentrated in those days...

In 1981 it was 29 goalies that played 30 games and 71 total (4 non North American goalies)
In 2019 it was 48 / 93 (28 non North american)

After the Vancouver Canucks play at the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday, the North Division will have three regular-season games remaining, each between the Canucks and Calgary Flames, on May 16, 18 and 19.
Each of the three United States-based divisions could open the playoffs before the North Division finishes the regular season.
"Our current expectation is that we'll play out the regular season and that the playoffs in the North Division will not officially start until after the conclusion of regular-season games in that division," Daly said Monday. "I would assume that would be very soon thereafter. It could be the same day."
Three games between the same two non-playoff teams. Just **** cancel them you idiots.

Seriously is there some logical reason the Canadian teams can’t start their playoffs before these pointless Calgary/Van games? I get that those probably need to be played due to advertising etc..... but this is stupid.
