Fla clearing cap space to do something...they didn't pay much to dump Connolly in Chicago's lap. Borgstrom was once a highly touted prospect, now I'm not sure if he'll even come back or if it will matter when he does...
I like Connolly too, as I expressed when he was waived...but he's had a rough 18 months...now, he's off to a non-contender...at least for now...

I can't seem to find how many 3+ point games 99 had in his career total.
I saw this stat and was amazed, yet again, at his records. Dude had at least 903 points just in 3+ point games in his time with Edmonton only. It's a weird stat but that's **** amazing.

Canes holding out Haydn Fleury tonight. Same age as Pettersson and not as good, but has pedigree (7th overall pick). Will be interesting to see the value there.

agreed. I admit that I'm far from a cap guru but this is bullshit that Detroit takes 25% of the cap hit for absolutely nothing.
I'd appreciate if someone would explain why DET would do that. is it just to help with the cap floor or do they have dirt on Stevie Y?
