Lighting the CN Tower in Habs colors would be like putting a Penguins jersey on Billy Penn...that's a trash move.

Yeah, it's because you sucked all season, made the playoffs by default with Calgary, Vancouver, and Ottawa in your division, sure you beat Toronto which was good then you played a dumpster fire Winnipeg team. So yeah, we're watching the Vegas/Colorado series and not giving you much of a chance. If it takes that to motivate you to win in the playoffs, great.

Alternate phrasing: "We shouldn't even have been eligible for the playoffs (again), but here we are (again). And the only people we have are the millions of people every other teams has"

We knew this was going to happen. Whatever team came out of the Maple Syrup division was going to be a terribly flawed roster and most likely be completely outclassed at some point.

If we get the return of soft peen Tampa, Im really looking forward to a MTL/NYI finals.
…I also don’t know how seeding works and who is playing whom next

The "West" features the top two seeds (Avs/Vegas). Canada had the lowest two (Jets/Habs).
The semifinals are done via overall seeding, so Montreal would draw the winner of Avs/Vegas, and Tampa draws NYI/Broons.
So yes, there's a chance we get an NYI/Habs final.

Old school Montreal/Boston Cup Final would get my interest...even if it's not the ideal entertainment (which removes Habs, Isles from the conversation and you're good)...

Yeah, there could be some serious hatred in a Montreal/Boston series. My wife and I attended Game 1 of the Habs/Bruins series at the Bell Centre a few years back, and it was one hell of an experience. Got to meet so many great fans outside of the stadium as we pre-gamed in a gas station parking lot with all of them. What a time that was.
Plus, it would have the bonus effect of being absolutely brutal for Leafs fans to endure.

the guy had his head down for an insane amount of time, and fell funny. sheifele still has a case, even though everyone's over it.
and that suspension length was absolutely bananas for a first time offender.

Vegas is the team I by default root for when the Pens go out. MAF probably had a lot to do with that

They're also so new to the scene that it's pert near impossible to have any animosity towards them. Vegas or Avs for me.Vegas is the team I by default root for when the Pens go out. MAF probably had a lot to do with that

AJ Whatshername is also being brought along, I think. So that's good, if you like witnessing someone move their mouth for 60 minutes without saying anything.
