Unrelated to Chara, but are they good?

Losses of leddy and Eberle are not ideal. But, they do get Lee back. Beauvillier is going to have a huge year. And they still have a pretty solid 1-4 centers

Same, right? Regular season try-hards who can muscle some teams out of the playoffs in early rounds but can’t compete with the ability of tier 1 teams who aren’t as soft as the pens.

I *think* (but could be wrong) that Capfriendly is already taking that into account, because they do have projected LTIR listed.

Again, this is also not taking into account either Parise or Chara contract numbers, because the Islanders have yet to release them.

The only team they "can't compete" with is Tampa, whom beat them 1-0 in game 7. Very uncompetitive series...

The quality on the ESPN app doesn't look that great, but I do need to tweak the picture settings, as my Sony TV apparently uses the "App" setting, and not the "App (Video)" setting that I have configured for Netflix, etc. I'll subscribe in October and figure I can always drop it and sign up for CI again if it is that bad.
It looks like you'll need to get ESPN+ since you don't have satellite/cable.
NHL Center Ice still exists for cable and satellite subscribers. NHL.tv, the streaming only service, no longer exists as an a la carte purchase. It is now bundled into ESPN+. For marketing purposes, it makes sense to call it "NHL on ESPN+".Jul 30, 2021

I only subbed to ESPN+ for a few tennis majors but didn’t notice any issue with picture quality.

I also saw something about there being a "hockey only" version of ESPN+.

The $4.5M listed for LTIR gets the $86M total to $81.5M cap.

Add up the totals: F $53, D $15.3, G $9 = $77.3M, + $1.4 Hickey + 1.3M overage = $80M +$6M Boychuk = $86. But basically they are looking at the $80M area total w/23 on roster.

Their absolute maximum potential. They lose to us in 5 or 6 with league average goaltending. The caps would eat their lunch. Boston…I don’t know what happened there besides horseshoes being crammed up their butts. At no point did they look like a well rounded contending team.

A lot of teams are doing the official “we’re all vaxed” release.

Which means there are some real shitheels on the pens, because this is a team that would post such a thing if it were true.

It's Malkin for sure. I bet he has Sputnik and that's not recognized as being fully vaxxed.

At our rink, we have a "you must be vaccinated" to come in policy. Just flat out. No exceptions, no write-offs, no pretend religion stuff...

When we distributed that to our future opponents, one team just went "nah, we're not coming then" and another team make a stink on our league call and then emailed us privately and said, "hey, why don't you come down to Delaware instead of us playing any games in NYC."

Yeah, ok...we'll get right on that...or, maybe, be a good leader and not promote anti-science nonsense...

Komarov seems like a guy who eats a bowl of germs for breakfast.

…but the trash can of the league is vaccinated. Every club who isn’t should feel bad.
