Just odd to name a sports arena for the company that makes those jars gramma cans peaches in.

They are one of the largest companies in Colorado. They also are the company that Oskar Blues worked with to come up with the Crowler system for craft beer. So think of it as an arena named after a company that has helped craft beer instead.

I'll be clear in a semi response to dodints post. I don't like seeing it, and I have no problem with the punishment and those hits going away. I was arguing on the basis of the current rules situation and punishment precedent. I've seen a lot worse get a slap on the wrist very recently.

It’s not like this tacky obsessive thing to bring up Wilson. He’s one guy but he’s a big fat problem. And he represents a bigger, fatter problem where there are a few guys in the league that can and will bully anyone smaller than them, and teams have gotten rid of the counter balance to that with useless 4th line cavemen not being a thing anymore.

So the bullies go out there and do so much awful sh*t that refs don’t want to deal with parsing it all, so they get away with it, and there’s no accountability because the NHL says you have to be super classy when someone’s punching you in the face.

...and then there’s this hit which I don’t think is the Colby special. Evans would have had his head down all the way to the opposite zambonie tunnel. Schiefle has been indirectly told that the hit is legal, so he made the hit. But because he hit Evans too hard, and he’s not a political figure like Wilson, here we are.

Was just thinking tonight... Hockey is going to feel so weird in 5-7 years. All these names we've gotten attached to across the league are going to be gone. I know this is the natural way of hockey fandom but maybe it's the vast increase in available NHL media but it hits different this time.
