For me it's a Joe Knew situation. I just don't believe for a second that stuff wasn't talked about in the locker room. It doesn't get this deep, and investigative without the whole lot/large portion knowing.

That's just personal opinion, the news coming out in the past few days/weeks makes it awfully hard to not be heard about in the locker room.

It’s also disturbing when you throw in the Theo Fleury revelations from years ago and the various hazing reports. IMO it points to a systematic issue of purposeful ignorance. Almost like, “yeah this goes on but uhhhh shuddap and play hockey.”

What kind of leader was Toews if he DIDN'T know that was going on around the team?

In the past week the Flyers have...

Sent out:
Philippe Myers, Nolan Patrick, Shayne Gostisbehere, Robert Hagg, 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 7th
($7.65M cap, not incl Patrick RFA)

Brought in:
Ryan Ellis, Rasmus Ristolainen
($11.65M cap)

They only have 4 NHL level Dmen under contract though.

I've actually become a little more forgiving of players with lower hockey sense as I have learned more about scouting and coaching...not much, but a little. Risto is a mess. He's been a bad situation but he's always been a mess. To me, you traded 13, and a two 2's to get less skilled, less dynamic, more tough, and to flip handedness. Both these players have flaws, no question. But in this climate, where David Savard gets a 1, where Devon Toews gets two 2's, where Nate Schmidt only nets a 3...those are vastly superior d-men with pretty similar tickets...why on earth is Ristolainen at the top of that heap...?

At least buffalo fans should be comfortable with what they'll get back for Eichel.

I don't get this trade for NY. Why lose a top six player who can drive some offense for a bottom six tough guy with a shot...

I get that Buch had a big year and arb rights, but, they really seem intent on tearing up this rebuild that was going really well...

Before I remembered the Rangers hired Gallant, I would've said it was because Buch and Quinn had clashing styles, but I feel like Buch would've been perfect in a Gallant system.

Given OEL's contract it should be him and Garland for zilch.
