To be fair, NHL's hand was forced. We would be up in arms if Pens were in the lottery but were getting screwed in the odds because they didn't finish out the season. It would have been silly to postpone the playoffs. They did the right thing in a crappy situation.

NBA chose this nonsense.

HALF the league isn't enough? bullshit. teams with losing records should not be involved in the playoffs and if the NHL expands to 20 or 24 teams that's exactly what will happen.
