"playoff games will be nationally televised" Unless you're in-market and don't have whatever backwoods regional sports net the Pens are contracted with.
Not really on point to this discussion but the NHL and Pens deserve to be jabbed in the eye with a stick on this until they un- **** themselves.

Also true. I've noticed that the AT&T Sportsnet now has Pens/Pirates games. Of course you need a cable subscription that's in market but it's been really nice not having to find some crappy stream when I'm out and want to watch."playoff games will be nationally televised" Unless you're in-market and don't have whatever backwoods regional sports net the Pens are contracted with.

The NBA schedules their playoffs differently than hockey. There is rarely more than 3 games on a weeknight and that 3rd game gets relegated to NBATv. This is why NBA early series stretch forever. They try to work in exclusive windows for all their games with little overlap. Plus, there’s also ESPN/ABC in play with them too. So there could easily be an NBA playoff doubleheader on TNT but have *2* NHL playoff doubleheaders on TBS and Tru. It sucks for my company that they have put all their eggs in the NFL basket with SNF but I think from a watch playoff hockey standpoint, this deal will be just fine.I'm not too concerned about regular season. It's all about playoffs with me. NHL and NBA playoffs overlap. Like I said, NBC was able to broadcast every single playoff game. TNT, even if they'd use TBS and TruTV is unable to do that due to their NBA license.

Do that, NHL

Wonder if this is wrong given the above

With NHL.tv merging with ESPN+, it’s a little surprising that HBO Max is included. Unless it’s just a docu-series.

As part of the agreement, Turner Sports' networks will televise the NHL Winter Classic, the League's annual New Year's Day outdoor game, in all seven seasons of the deal. They will show all games in the Stanley Cup Final in 2023, 2025 and 2027, one conference final series each season and half of the first two rounds of the playoffs along with 72 regular-season games per season.
Hockey Randomness
So HBO Max is live streaming. That's interesting. Also they're airing 72 games while ESPN is only airing 25.
Hockey Randomness
Oh wait, ESPN+ and Hulu will broadcast 75 games and those games will be exclusive. Greeeaaat.

Nice knowing you, NHL.

The Turner package has more regular season offerings than its NBA counterpart (72 or 73 vs 64).
Hulu reaches a lot of people (40 mil subscribers I think) and HBO Max is around that number too...combined they probably cost less than the NHL package alone...

I have an irrational dislike of Hulu. Much like Apple TV if anything exclusively happens on those platforms they don't exist.

Plus NHL.tv is gonna be on ESPN+ which is ****ing awesome because I already have that but also because ESPN+ is like $5 a month. This is all good

The only thing I don't like about Hulu is that I just cannot get it to play on my tablet...I always get a connection error within the first five seconds...no amount of troubleshooting seems to be able to solve it, but all my other streaming services play on it with no problem...
As such, my watching of M*A*S*H*, Bob's Burgers, and Rick & Morty is done on my desktop or on my smart TV...
I don't believe any of this TV package stuff affects me anyhow, I'm special...

Hulu has all Baywatch episodes in remastered HD. Be nice to Hulu.
