The article said that the Oliers gave them permission to talk to teams. What would they talk about? He is under contract for another year so it is not like a trade and extend thing. Was it just that the Oilers did not want to be bothered with the time it would take to shop him?

This happens from time to time for a player's agent to reach out and test the waters on behalf of the player. Clear up some [crap] being said about him and his play and this and that...an agent can sell a team on a player in this situation, even if it's not a free agency situation...try to find the best situation for his client and get him out of a bad situation in Edmonton...

That said, he's probably in the KHL in a couple years anyway...drafting players with no hockey sense so high, when will scouts learn...?

This year's MVP of Central European (but mostly Austrian) EBEL - the player with a really awesome name:

Colton Yellow Horn (57 points, 28+29 in 53 games of the regular season; another 21 points (7+14) in 12 playoff games so far - finals series yet to start)

I remember him playing in the Dub way back when, maybe 10 or so years ago...small kid, but wasn't devoid of skill...

If you do your investigative work, you'll find Yellow Horn and I's name in a box score together.

Did you play for the Ontario Reign? I had mad love for Yellow Horn when he played for the Reign. Old board backs that up. Crazy stick skills and never backed away from anyone bigger than him. Of course, every player on either bench was bigger than he is.

NHL Tonight had the Chia Pet Brett Burns as center attraction tonight. Very funny segment. "What, just add water?"

If you're watching without sound, the linesman calls it offsides - it's not a penalty call.

Love mcdavid after seeing his response.
Letang chewed out the refs after the Devils game(I think) for the offside call and we all know croz would have had a fit if he were mcdavid.

That aside I value Crosby as a great, humble person and admire all the charity work he does- I think that aspect of 87 is very underrated- however I'm not in the PGH area.

Anyways,

2 people ***** at me yesterday at the game when I said that the President's banner would be a good replacement for the old WNBA Attendance Champion banners that they took down, and they both meant about the same.

The ultimate homer Roenick claims that after the trip he used his stick to correct and aid his return to his feet. with a full swing. Coyle was lucky that it clipped him. 6 game suspension.

Should be ~25 games for Keith. But it won't.

Partially because the players union is more interested in protecting goonish behavior, rather than the membership at large.
