Like I said, for the NHL to actually rule this:

"an intentional and retaliatory act of violence by a player with a history of using his stick as a weapon."

is what they should be saying, and kudos for the NHL for calling it for what it was. But then, after ruling that, to basically give Duncan Keith time to rest while missing one measly postseason game? Laughable. This wasn't an errant elbow during game action, this was a premeditated act with intent to injure, that could have had far worse consequences.

Regarding the "WELL COYLE WASN'T SERIOUSLY INJURED", I guess that's how the PA wants it.

Total joke. He gets 5 games for delivering a (retaliatory) flying elbow to the head of a defenseless, puckless Sedin, 1 playoff game for intentionally slashing Carter in the face (again retaliatory), and now 5+1 for intentionally slashing yet another player in the face (again because he can't control his emotions). Congrats NHL, that'll show him. Might even deter him from being the first player in NHL history to intentionally slash three different players in the head!
