I imagine it's to be roster complaint or some such...
Are they doing this for a mutual contract termination? And if so what are the cap implications? None?

None. But he was not put on the type of waivers that facilitates that (unconditional or $125 waivers, that is). This was just for the purpose of being able to assign him to Hershey. If they do that, he won't report. And then I'm guessing they'll suspend him and see where it goes from there...

I assume he's KHL bound.

Lindy Ruff shouldn't have been fired. They should have gotten him a goalie that can make a save.

Look, people change...coaches evolve...but this is one of those moves - turning to Travis Green - I think in the short term this will set the franchise back. Firing the coach is easy. But it's not automatically a solution. I thought Ruff had that team playing some really advanced hockey. 52 wins last year.

NJ has a lot of pieces in place - if they do one of these things where they churn through coaches randomly in short succession, they're going to ruin their chances...

Nylander still sucks. What he does is irrelevant. Pens have tons of personnel issues but dumping Nylander isn’t one.

Believe it or not he played 69:22 in his 5 games here and 77:38 in his 5 there so really only 2-3 extra shifts per game
